As much as I want this to cause change, I doubt it will. The rioters are unarmed and extremely small in numbers. The black market for firearms in the UK sells bottom-of-the-barrel quality guns that have a higher likelihood of backfiring on the shooter than actually shooting the target. They’re fricked unless a large scale arms importer can coordinate a black market smuggling ring to the groups of rioters

You’re probably right about that, but imagine the optics of a bunch of unarmed civilians getting mowed down by an armed military. That didn’t play too well in Boston in 1770, and that’s before cameras and videos. If anything, I think that would just bolster opposition.
