She also knows he has to get his story straight and it's harder to keep one straight when you have to lie.
So being so disorganized in the beginning would help confuse him. She's moving around, grabbing different papers etc.
Wear him down a bit.
May be part of her strategy.

The biggest red flag of his testimony is that he begins trying to answer any question by offering of explanations to questions and scenarios that weren’t raised.
