Download IHeartRadio or TuneIn radio apps. You can listen to AM talk radio for free.

Isn’t having AM beneficial for disaster situations?

I’d just settle for a Ford that didn’t catch on fire.

You can still hear all your favorite talk shows on various websites and phone apps e.g. iHeart.
No problemo.

There are very few markets/cities nationally where AM radio has any listener impact, whatsoever.

Agreed. That's the only way I could listen to LSU football regularly when I was a kid growing up in the 70s and 80s. I could always pick up the night games on WWL all the way up in eastern Kentucky. Might have to adjust the antenna a few times during the game, but I could live with that.

Same for KMOX out of St Louis, MO. Used to listen to the Cardinals when Keith Hernandez still played first base there.

Better quality using a streaming app anyway, all these cars have CarPlay or Android auto which makes it easier to use

Of course I now read that GM is phasing out the systems for their own which you will eventually have to subscribe to. Bunch of bitches:
Reuters - GM phased out CarPlay

Great... just when I get to the age where I am no longer listening to led zeppelin, but AM conservative talk radio, they pull this bullshite.

Somewhere I got a thread on here about leftist liberals dominate late night TV, and all conservatives have is AM radio.

AM radio is hands down the most reliable and expansive coverage of any terrestrial radio broadcast. Something seems fricky here....I'm probably just an old paranoid "Boomer."

How am I going to listen to conservative talk radio?

We've got like 5 radio shows here on FM and you can stream it if you have a phone. This isn't 1970

Just another tool of controlling the media... and these kids just sit by watching Free Speech being taken away, and all they got to say is "Ok Boomer".

What next... Ford commercials on Colbert?

I don't know where you live but there are places in the heartland where AM is all you can pickup reliably in the rural areas....FM just doesn't propagate very far....line of sight dude.

There are still large portions of the country where you can not reliably get an FM signal or data. These are places they want to sell their trucks to. This seems stupid at the level of Target bathrooms, or Bed Bath and Beyond getting rid of My Pillow.

Henry Ford must be spinning at 7000 rpms now.
Ford's business model is poor at best.
Keeping the AM band on its' radio option can't cost all that much in the larger scheme of things.
Ford should make 5 vehicles : F-150, Crown Vic, Mustang, Bronco, and a Falcon.
Concentrate on these as far as cost and quality and this should bring the brand back from the brink.

If any radio gum flapper hasn’t transitioned to streaming or podcasting then they’re idiots.

Ford is ate up with the dumbness. Thankfully a lot of good stuff is on FM or satellite, that used to be on AM. But there's still a lot of stuff on AM.

Do they have phones? I'm going to say yes.

I bet your 8-track rotation is fire.
