Demorats are quite willing to pay large sums of money to people to make false sexual allegations about their opponents whether DJT, Justice Kavanaugh, Justice Thomas, or Matt Gaetz. Dems keep using the same old plays in their book of dirty tricks. When the Justice Dept. found nothing wrong that should have been the end of it. When the Epstein files are made public we will see that the real sexual perverts are demorats and their associates.

Another reason I want the congressional sex harassment fund users named. All of them.

Would have to read more of the allegation to determine what b.s. if any is in there. Difference between this and Kavanaugh was that Blasey Ford made those accusations years later referencing an encounter they had when both were teenagers that she did not allege outright sex....so teenagers being stupid teenagers
The Slotnick allegation was pure b.s.

There's no way this is a surprise to the Trump team, so they have to be resolved to ignore it or that there is a pretty hefty argument against it.
makes sense

I believe the DOJ thought there were credibility issues with the woman in question, no?
TBH I can't remember why Meathead Merrick and his Minions decided to drop this case. But I'm reading other replies (aside from the trolling ones.)

They call it sex trafficking because the accusation is Gaetz drove his young date to a party across state lines.

Gaetz resigned from office following Trump's announcement. This came as the House Ethics Committee was in the final stages of its investigation, said sources, who added that the committee was preparing to meet this week to deliberate over whether to release a final report on the matter.
Can someone explain why they have to decide if they are going to release a report or not
Good or bad they should have to report on what they found
Posted on 11/14/24 at 3:39 pm to LookSquirrel
Someone like Gaetz isn't going to get anything done. No one takes him seriously.

GOP ranking member says it got closed because he is no longer in the House and they don’t report ethics issues in private citizens.
In addition, this has been lingering in House Ethics for about 3 years with no one getting off their arse to finalize it, so they sure weren’t in a fricking hurry.

His resignation basically ended the investigation. It was an ethics probe into a House member, which is the committee's jurisdiction. He's no longer a House member.
Basically, they're deciding whether they want to torpedo whatever he ends up doing next, AG or otherwise.
ETA: Interestingly, the Ethics Committee has two members that were just tossed out in the elections, one GOP and one DEM.

The federal DOJ looked into it because apparently Gaetz drove his young date to a party across state lines, which they are calling sex trafficking.
