Definitely being forced to overpay for COGS is a great indicator of running a business efficiently, amiright?

You poorly named yourself.

What argument? That Trump wants to MAGA by having most Americans work in factories?

There's a really easy way to end this. Tell other countries to drop their tariffs on our exports and level the playing field.
Thats not exactly a viable solution for most small business owners. This stuff is happening above our heads and while they fight it out companies go bankrupt.
Tariffs did create 250 more US steel jobs last year but way more jobs were lost in the 2000+ extra business bankruptcies created by the tariff war.

Pure hyperbole
It's really shameful that you get on here and pretend to show so much love and compassion for murderers and rapist in Angola but look down on Americans who work in factories.
You're a reprehensible person.

Longhorn Actual: I run a business and tariffs make things extremely difficult for us because our primary material cannot be sourced domestically even if we wanted to.

Exactly. It's why i dont understand the blanket tariffs supporters. Its just a tax companies are forced to pay and pass on to customers or if its a product with an international competitor eat the costs and slowly go out of business.
You conveniently left out the most important part:

Longhorn Actual: That being said, I'm STILL not against tariffs because I don't view the world at large through the lens of what's solely in my best interest.

Can’t wait to see how the left melts from this
You voted to pay more for everything? At least someone is happy about this I suppose.

Did her house cleaner/slave ever get over her fear of leaving the house or is Cubbies house a real pigsty right now?
My family is at LaGuardia. My husband had a friend stop by the house to bring in some packages Thursday and he said the washing machine was on and house was clean so I guess she came early this week.

ROTUS tosses another temper tantrum.
Presidential stupidity? Petty spite? Causing chaos and confusion for all businesses? The "left" isn't melting; anyone who engaging in business and dealing with the logistics of imports-exports knows THIS DUMB.
No American will see a dime AND they'll have to pay even more. Even Bessent admitted the American people will never see a penny from the revenue. Our Emperor is a pompous jackass.

So let's continue down the path of unfair trade and continue to lose ground yearly to what end?
You're blaming Trump when really all of the blame should go to those before him who could have put a stop to this long ago. Unfortunately, we are at a crossroads, and we either rip the bandaid off now or let China and other countries win through stealing IPs, currency manipulation, transshipping to Canada and MX to avoid sanctions, etc

Im not anti tariffs either. Tariffs on chinese products are a good thing. Blanket tariffs are the issue. They should be targeted on products/materials that can be sourced at home.

name-calling and blindly supporting a politician's policies for the sole purpose of "winning" is part of the problem. from both sides.
at what % would a blanket global tariff be too much for some of you? 50%? or is it whatever trump thinks it should be? y'all are cheering every time it gets bumped up....just curious what is the breaking point?

being forced to overpay for COGS
Unrestricted free trade across the board (or even one-sided free trade) is undoubtedly better economically, but why should the US bear all the costs?

Our nation regaining the ability to produce and manufacture products that we need to run our nation (instead of having to rely on our adversaries) is more important than your business.
Suck it up, adjust, and be a fricking patriot.

China isn't the only one guilty of unfair trade and placing tariffs on our exports
Also, Canada and Mexico both allowed China to tranship Chinese steel for years into the USA and got caught doing so several times but nothing ever happened because we have weak leaders so they kept doing it.

Its just not a natural resource we possess.

So it's a fine business model to allow other nations to put tariffs on us for decades, but we cannot put tariffs on them? What a horrible business model.
You obviously were a proponent of NAFTA.
