Lawyer question. Drop the autism and join a discussion.

I have the same question.

This is the frustrating part with our autistic law brigade. I dont think they know the difference between instinctive and acquired.

I loathe legalism in almost every form.

I have no idea what the rest of your post referred to in the context of this thread.

Thanks for the permission. You still attempted to create a strawman.

Lawyers are taught that sophistry is the highest and best form of thinking.

I just wish they would drop the lawyer act and try to be human, for once..

Hank was the worst. I dont think he could converse without citing legal scripture..

90% of the time we talk about the merit of law, not the details of the law itself, he cannot get off that track.

If you’re doing adult education, you’re not as likely to be bombarded with leftism. And the teachers for those courses aren’t as often part of the true-believer crowd.

I’m not. I’m in a humanities/interdisciplinary doctorate program. Wouldn’t that be exactly where true believers would hang out?

The only thing remotely close to indoctrination I’ve experienced was during a sociology theories class I took. I said that protesting the government is always positive, including when the J6 people did it. My classmates and professor were semi-horrified and went on this whole “what if people are protesting XYZ?!” detour.

I still think citizens organizing against the government is always positive because if nothing else, it reminds the citizenry that we can organize against the government.

If that is considered indoctrination, it’s pretty tame.

That's an adaptive change, not a developmental change.

I'm not sure why you think there is some important distinction

Over time these adaptive changes are substantial and fundamentally change the way your brain operates

Idk. SFP can be annoying but what about him is particularly legal? I get that he’s a lawyer but he didn’t post anything lawyer-y in this thread, at least not that I picked up on.

It’s possibly to just plain disagree with someone without attacking everything about the person you disagree with.

Based on the stances you've taken here on many different topic, I'm not surprised you're not seeing the indoctrination taking place on college campuses.

My child just started La Tech this year. Living here I know many of the professors which is one reason we encouraged La Tech so much. There are many God fearing members of the faculty there which is what I, of course, would prefer. With that said, there are plenty of wackos as well. The best thing you can do is raise your child in the church and instill morality in them.

So your issue isn’t indoctrination, it’s that people with different opinions sometimes work on college campuses. You want everyone with differing opinions to… be unemployed? Die?

Correct. When you are far left, everyone around you appears moderate.

Hey man, how's college going?

Oh man, not only do I live in the same city as my parents, they even know my professors and are making sure I don't have any fun

When you’re far right, everyone else appears far-left. Have some self-awareness.
