You must have been born after 1995.

That POS helped ban PUREBLOODS like ME from going to Saints games in the Dome. He violated my basic civil rights.
He can go straight to heck as far as Im concerned.

Never underestimate the GOP super power of screwing things up.
Yep.
The excuses are off the table for the GOP. They have (nearly) a super majority in the legislature and no longer have to contend with a (D) Governor's veto power. If there was ever a time to get their full agenda passed, this is it. So if it doesn't happen they only have themselves to blame.
Frankly, I believe Landry will be successful in passing a bunch of conservative social, red meat, BS. But I have my doubts as to how successful he will be in improving the business climate/economy of the state (which is why I didn't vote for him in the primary). Louisiana is falling well behind many of its southern neighbors. If they don't make significant strides in that department with the current makeup at the state capitol then I doubt they ever will.

The suggestion that J B Edwards is “left-wing” elicits guffaws from anyone who has a functioning brain.
he was complete left wing on sales tax, medicaid expansion, O & G, and lets not forget he wanted trans boys in girls sports. the legislature told him get fricked.
but not left wing? ok groomer

Edwards was bad. Who thinks Landry will be better? He's the worst kind of conservative. A big-government social conservative. He has no plan beyond business as usual that will keep the state flatlining or trending downward.

That is saying something to be worse than Blanco vision.

I am cautiously optimistic about Landry, but I have very serious concerns.

While that's true, he probably won't veto any conservative reforms coming out of the legislature. So, I am cautiously optimistic at this point.

The Jindal criticism here is mostly group think. He wasn't nearly as bad as this board states.
Jindal was a failure because he did not accomplish a lot of things he could've.
But he didn't actively DO a bunch of horrible stuff like Edwards.

So glad you are excited, but I'll hold judgement until after a couple years in office. The Jindal years weren't that productive for Louisiana.
