When MAGA now represents leftist economics, government intervention in markets, government ownership of the means of production, intervention in foreign conflicts/states, expanding federal power, and now attacking states rights....what, exactly is the selling point (try selling it without referencing the threat of DEMs/leftists and focus on the policies themselves).

A RINO.
Im not familiar with this situation but does R now mean bigger fedgov over states managing themselves? Maybe it does and that changed at some point and I didn’t get the memo

Traditionally, yes
With MAGA doing the leftist thing of reinventing what words mean, no

No matter how badly you want to believe otherwise, the left is too far gone to negotiate with them in good faith. The threat they present is very real, but you and the liberals live in an imaginary reality.

Puts an exclamation mark on the need to be able to recall senators

What Mr. Grassley is missing here is that the federal government is already involved withe state elections via the USPS

Iowa and states that require ID dont need this Chuck.
This law is for the states that don't have it.
fricking worthless Congressional GOP.
May as well be Dems (and they will be if this shite keeps up)

You're not going to elicit an emotional (fear) response from me, brother.
I'll try again

Only in the Trump era can a Republican standing up for states rights be labeled "may as well be DEMs"
fricking bizarro world.

With friends like this on your team who needs enemies?

Why is this stuff so hard for you?
Either this act Protects democrat federal election fraud or it fights against it.

It’s not irrational to acknowledge a legitimate threat:
We know what the left wants.
We know how delusional they are.
We know how far they will go.
We know the mess they made is large.
We knew the clean up would not be easy.

Republicans want to secure elections. RINOS don’t because they don’t want to win, they prefer to be a controlled opposition party that campaigns complaining about the other side while doing whatever their lobbyists want.
This is the same Chuck Grassley who spent his entire career publishing annual lists of federal waste, then when presented with the chance to vote for DOGE cuts consistently voted no and helped block legislation from being voted on.
He’s a complete fraud and so is the GOPe.

Spotting out the hypocrisy and destruction of language is really easy for me, actually.

Emotional argument that ignores principle to combat Republican values (states rights). Literally the leftist playbook.
You don't realize the irony that you're selling leftism as the thing to fear while acting exactly how a leftist operates, both by destroying language and relying on emotional-based arguments that ignore logic, facts, and history.

No! We want only verifiable US citizens voting in federal elections.
The states with demonstrable election integrity measures don't want Blue states with lax voting policies screwing them over with their rigged state elections.

But how do you achieve that goal?
By giving Washington DC more power and eroding states rights.

Perfect example of your absolute lack of integrity -
You are dedicated to the continued rape of our elections in the hellscapes where the population has been raped and being replaced by robotic creatures with no concept of liberty - other than to cheat the system.
What you are advocating = if going unchecked = will result in a righteous revolution.
There are legions of us that will not submit to a lifetime of taxation just to allow 3rd world savages to milk our taxes unchecked.
You are - or course - thinking that when that time comes YOU will be honored with a cushy position in the 'leadership' === you will be one of the first to be eliminated. The new "leadership" will need subjects who can produce stuff - they will have no use for a simpy contrarian - you will be worthless to them.
The ONLY thing that matters to democrats these days is the protection of their sources of $$$ to purchase election fraud.
And you gladly support them unquestioned.
Have fun simp
