I know exactly how you feel as I see the same thing. But then I think about how 5000 people came to hear Jesus speak and there was no dress code or other requirements. I deal with the same issues but try to remember I’m there to learn to be a better man. You have to let the Lord deal with each individual and keep your eyes. I can get easily distracted by people getting up and going for coffee during the service. If the pastor/ priest is truly bringing a message from the Lord and you’re walking out to get coffee, that’s pretty sad. Also, getting dressed up for church is actually a man made tradition.

Our church voted unanimously to disaffiliate and we are now a Methodist church belonging to no one.

As a pastor to a very small church says every Sunday… “ when you walk into a service and the sermon isn’t the Word of God… you’re in the wrong place”.
