Of course they have. As someone pointed out, they crushed South Africa. The also worked against Japan in the runup to WW2. Japan was crippled so badly they were compelled to start an unwinnable war.

Didn’t turn out too well for Japan. But this is a different situation. We had the oil and Japan had to get it from us.

Russia has the oil and they don’t need us to buy it. The only way we can stop Russia from exporting oil is an embargo. The US Navy would have to stop tankers or sink them.

So are we going to sink foreign flagged ships? Kind of why we went to war in 1812.
