Herd Immunity occurs when 50% of the population becomes infected.
This likely may have already happened since the bug likely was here long before we knew. The fact China wasn’t forthcoming, the WHO parroted “no human to human transmission and our medical advisors believed the WHO, lead us not to pay attention. I talked to tons on physicians that said there was a huge spike of flu negative viral pneumonia in late Dec & January. I had a horrible case flying back from New Orleans. I had initial onset, flight it off for 5 days or so when it hit me like a ton of bricks. My body ached, I had fever so bad I sweated through my scrubs (which only happens if I need lead), fatigue, bad diarrhea and coughing so bad that I pulled intercostal muscles. I am relatively healthy 48 year old but just realized via reading that my off label beta blocker (used as an Anti-anxiolytic) likely made me more susceptible to the virus!

We will keep up with every single COVID-19 death until November.

Look at the death totals of western states. It's most likely that the virus already went through those states the last few months and herd immunity is already built up.

That article is on CDC site but not done by CDC.

I'm sorry. Just because I know people personally, who have positions of authority, doesn't mean I should use their name on an LSU political board.
For those who would know, if I did name this person, they would nod and say "He would know".
Demanding I provide anything other than my polite response or a less polite frick Off isn't productive.

Most likely.
Its so deadly, most of the world had no idea they were being infected.
People just don't want to admit they are gullible and stupid i.e. rick rolled.

That is just arguing from the “position of authority”.

You don’t even need herd immunity to open back up. If the tests show that this isn’t anywhere near 10x as deadly as the flu that will be good enough.

So not even a qualification? Job title? Anything to substantiate his/your claim?

Furthermore, if we are not near saturation, when they open it back up, the numbers will spike up again when the conditions are right.
Many of us spoke about this a month ago.
The current policy doesn't really make any sense under either situation.

I’m pretty sure the wife and I had it a few weeks ago, but due to the lack of testing in Colorado we could not confirm.
We had the same symptoms as you did and it was a struggle to even take a shower. Did it hit you in waves?

Yes it did, I flew back from New Orleans on the evening of the 29th. I had some GI side effects and thought I had gotten a slight case of food poisoning from the buffet in the pitiful Delta Sky Club in NO. Felt better rather quickly but still not 100% from Sunday Feb 1st thru Wednesday the 5th. Then it hit like a ton of brick. I had severe fever, joint pain and fatigue. So bad that I didn’t go to the Memphis Grizzly game that night. For the next two weeks I thought I was getting better only to wake the next day worse off. The coughing was the worst though. I would fade off to sleep only to wake up coughing so bad o couldn’t stop.
I can’t wait for an antibody test to get out so I can get confirmation.

You don't need a degree in virus mutation to see what is going on here.
You show me someone with a degree in virus mutation and I will show you someone with access to a color laser printer and graphics editing software. There is no such degree, and clearly - you don't know shite about anything. I'd be more open to taking advice on a nuclear physics question from my car mechanic that I would take your info on a novel virus.

No, you are in denial.
I asked someone who knows. I relayed what he told me.
I'm not arguing. I made a clear statement.

Well, certainly you can appreciate how reasonable people can decide they are not going to put a lot of stick in an internet random saying, "someone with a lot of smarts told me so."

It’s not my info girl. The facts are the facts and the facts don’t back up the hysteria.
