Then why do you and your party support and defend illegal immigrants?
Did you just assume I'm a liberal because of my thoughts on our earth's core/mantle?
Not only am I staunchly "right wing," but so are each of the people that I am citing. (Caveat, i do not know the guy I cited named Zacharia in the embedded X post, but Ethical Skeptic and Ben Davidson are. Ben is a groyper. TES likes his guns, but he doesnt discuss politics often unless for how it relates to all of his work on COVID and vaccines.

You're the worst kind of phony. Start a topic with a bunch of SME jargon and then refuse to synthesize it for people because you likely can't but don't want to admit it. So we just get the condescending "figure it out" bullshite.

Did you miss the part where I was saying it took my arse years to distill the stuff I did type up? I was specifically NOT lumping my arse in with these smart dudes. I just don't know how to break it down any further than I did. I felt what I typed was as good as I could have typed it up. Sorry if you are offended by it? But yeah. I'm not trying to pretend I am beyond of you folks.
I dropped this thread because this topic has been a consuming topic for me for a long time. I felt it would be a good exchange, and break from the normal material here.

I think you need to spend a few more years looking at basic geoscience principles and geologic data rather than these sources you have provided. If you had some fundamental understanding then you could better critique these ideas.

I'm confused - if this is the US - well Orlando is still there so I'm good
But - Acknowledging that there is a finite amount of ocean water - if all of that goes to cover the US what happens to the rest of the planet - more land opens up ? Is Europe fine? Seems a bit sketchy to me

Of course. Meanwhile this big sphere has hiccups from time to time.

If you have any relevant discussion, I'm all ears.
I have seen many confident earth scientists professionally critique TES (the ethical skeptic) and they always end up believers... except for pseudo intellectuals who have been to college for 4 years with a degree that, to their own peril, clutch mainstream dogma and refuse to debate the actual material.
I am not here to pretend to be anything but an average Joe on this subject. I am here, however, to do some back and forth and learn outside perspectives than the spheres im usually in.
Despite however it may look, I am actually very dedicated to learn something new so that I can NOT buy into ECDO theory. I would very much like to not buy into this. But I feel I have seen every argument against them before a time or two, and they are always wanting.
If you have something I can go back into my X circles and share, that would be swell.

Do you understand how angular momentum works? The amount of energy required to change the earth's orientation relative to the sun is almost inconceivable and would probably tear the earth apart.
Nah man, we are just going to wake up one day and Equator and Prime Meridian are going to swap spots. Then we die

So many of you offer insult, when all I am doing is talking about something that is wildly fascinating to me, and harrowing.
Is it wrong to discuss something even though the implications are scary? I will suffer the same end if any of this comes to pass in our lifetimes. It is fair to say it scares me. Am I not allowed to talk it out with people online just because some are offended by it?
I don't offer fear porn for the sake of worrying people. I talk about all this because I am legitimately concerned. I think this topic is worthy of breaking down and taking a deep look at it.
If that bothers you, and the only thing you come to offer is insult. Well, good luck with that.

You rang?
Okay so you’d have to read all of the small print on the graphic. It’s explaining massive earthquakes and geologic shifts that alter elevations massively. So parts of Colorado sink to sea level.
