For some reason, the Exxon in walker shot up 27 cents the day after Christmas. It's at 2.49.

It's going to be under $2 soon. That will be a psychological knock out.
I won't consider it cheap till we cross this threshold.

While it is good for the consumer, it may not be that great for the oil guys.
They wouldn’t sell it at a price per gallon that isn’t profitable.

I certainly don’t mind paying the ~$2.30 I have as of late.
You’re willing to pay more than you have to? Ok.

Not having an admin hostile toward cheap energy is a good start.

Why do you think this is a burn?
Charging at home is still cheaper, you can wake up with a full tank every day, have basically no maintenance, and out accelerate most gas cars.
Seriously, help me understand.

It’s not meant as a burn.
It’s to point out hypocrisy.

Most of the variations you see within a state are dictated by local taxes.

and trump has nothing to do with that. it's fun to see all of ya'll crawl out from under your rock and stick up the grifter.

How are Liberals dealing with Fuel Prices?

But Trump has A LOT to do with the average national price fluctuations 2017-2021 and 2025 vs 2021-2024. If you can’t recognize and admit that, you’re hopeless.

So it's a total coincidence that it was lower during Trump's first term, rose during Bidens term and dropped again in Trump's second term?

That’s their subtle way of pulling in higher end clientele

Not necessarily true. If they go under for a day a couple pennies per gallon they could be making up the difference inside the store where the big margin is. Maybe they got a sweet deal from Marborlo so to get people in the door to buy “cheaper” packs of smokes at much higher margins they lower the price of fuel.
