You made so much sense on the Publix thread, then you turn around and attack another poster as being a screaming Leftist simply because he is a government employee.

You can do better.

Here's the counter argument to that: If you keep rewarding politicians for taking a certain action, what will the next set of politicians do? We kept voting for GOP establishment types and look what it got us. More spending, more government. When people had enough of their lies and BS they voted for Trump, not even expecting him to win for the most part. They were just sick of the BS and wanted to send a message, similar to the Tea Party. Now it worked out and I'm glad it did, but it may not have. I'm not saying I even agree with this particular single-issue position, but it's not illogical. If you keep rewarding a behavior, whether it's gun control or big government, you're guaranteed to get more of it.

I agree with you. My only concern is getting someone way worse. I don't see a rosy future for us and definitely not our kids. I guess we have to pick our poison or have someone else pick it for us.

I couldn’t agree more. 2A is a nonnegotiable for me. He will lose my vote as well.

This would be more meaningful with more info. Do you live in a swing state or a reliably-Red state?

Get back to me when he signs something into law.

But by doing nothing you give the liberals the low hanging fruit they need to claim all gun owners are nuts. They don't actually want to pass anything. They love having issues more than solving them. Need those campaign issues to keep the money flowing.

I don't know why you are arguing with me when I said I completely understand folks who don't want to give an inch.

And yes, most of the gun laws they want to put in place are nothing more than participation trophy pat yourself on the back laws that wouldn't stop a single crime or shooting spree.

And yes, if they had all of their useless gun laws in place, that is when they would move to actual confiscation and outlawing all firearms.

Ironic

Do you people objectively look at that crap you say?
You talk about the deep state and how government is corrupt but you’re completely cool with them taking away your rights as long as they have an R next to their name. You may trust that Trump has the best intentions but he’ll only be POTUS at most 4 more years. Then someone will take over that is most likely apart of the “deep state.” While Trump might have been trustworthy, he just gave the people you don’t trust a foothold to take more. You all claim to support freedom but what you really want is an authoritarian.

Hank, I'm posting the following for YOUR benefit.

Everyone knows you have a problem and the first step is identifying it:

Grandiosity is the defining characteristic of narcissism. More than just arrogance or vanity, grandiosity is an unrealistic sense of superiority. Narcissists believe they are unique or “special” and can only be understood by other special people. What’s more, they are too good for anything average or ordinary. They only want to associate and be associated with other high-status people, places, and things.

Narcissists also believe that they’re better than everyone else and expect recognition as such—even when they’ve done nothing to earn it. They will often exaggerate or outright lie about their achievements and talents. And when they talk about work or relationships, all you’ll hear is how much they contribute, how great they are, and how lucky the people in their lives are to have them. They are the undisputed star and everyone else is at best a bit player.

There, I've helped you begin the journey, but I can't hold your hand the whole way....

And a bit MORE since you poked the bear:

Since reality doesn’t support their grandiose view of themselves, narcissists live in a fantasy world propped up by distortion, self-deception, and magical thinking. They spin self-glorifying fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, attractiveness, and ideal love that make them feel special and in control. These fantasies protect them from feelings of inner emptiness and shame, so facts and opinions that contradict them are ignored or rationalized away. Anything that threatens to burst the fantasy bubble is met with extreme defensiveness and even rage, so those around the narcissist learn to tread carefully around their denial of reality.

Now I ask the board residents: Do ANY of you doubt for one minute that Liberaltarian Hank suffers from Narcissistic Personality Disorder?
