And when did the Death to the USA chant start?

It's you live in a vacuum where history started yesterday.

Was Iran ever really a threat?

Let me put it in terms a Cornhusker could grasp. Like Nebraska football, Jimmy Carter never recovered from a bunch of horrible decisions and blunders toward the end of his presidency, especially the Iran hostage crisis. The same way Nebraska can't deliver late in games and has not won an overtime game since 2014.

Feb 11, 1979.

When radical Islam took the country over as a result of the Ayatollah Khomeini regime change.

It doesn’t. Just like it didn’t in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Venezuela, Panama, etc, etc, etc.

There's something common to all of those events, but I can't put my finger on what it might be.

Something about the date range...it's on the tip of my tongue.

Yea I remember all of those videos of Muslims chanting "Death to Brazil!"

Did you really think this was a valid point?

There we go, "mean chants" are now justification for billions in taxpayer dollars to bomb another country.

So after bombing the shite out of Iran, is the US military going to round up these peasants and bring them to justice for their mean chants?

What about the people are fighting against the Iranian government, how can the US be sure these weren't the same people chanting mean chants against the US?

As Trump said, it’s not necessarily for now but for the future. This will benefit generations not born by eliminating a regime that has killed Americans for nearly 50 years and literally wants our nation to disappear. Trees have to be planted now if you want your great-grandchildren to sit under their shade.

What a moronic statement.

S. Korea is probably the best argument one could make for military interventions like this. if they all turned out that well you Huckster dickriders would be out of luck.

And most of that list was part of the proxy Cold War that we won against the U.S.S.R., which was the biggest threat to not only every person in the US, but the entire world.

In this particular case it’s hard to say. Iran was on the verge of conceding on the nuclear weapons issue by most accounts. But now, Trump is talking more about regime change.

There’s a very good chance that oil prices will rise.

So I don’t know. How does it help the average American?
