Do you think this board is not representative of Trump supporters?

Dems think that fighting fraud is a thought crime against their agenda.

I agree
Especially for legal purposes

However are we all going to pretend this wasn’t a realistic outcome that Trump should have known about?

Nancy actually admitted on 60 Minutes she and Chuck called Trump to get them to stop. So he comes out and says, "we can't play into the hands of these people. We have to have peace. So go home. We love you. You're very special."

I’m definitely not.

But do you Trump reasonably went into that rally not knowing this could/would happen?

Trump gave the coded super-secret “OK” hand-signal that all Patriot sleeper cells know is the “GO!” sign for ripping the government warning tags off mattresses. After seeing that, Trump’s supporters went into an apocalyptic frenzy and could not be stopped!

Well, I'm sure you're aware, but there have been quite a few protests and demonstrations throughout the lifetime of our country. Typically over some issue or issues that don't exactly result in a joyous atmosphere. Usually a pretty anxious and energized situation.

So what was it about this particular one that should've been so glaring to Trump to make it clear to him that what ended up happening might happen?

The fact that a faction his base was clamoring for a violent uprising on pretty much every platform they could.

Like I said, do you think he was out of touch with his base?

"Dog whistle".....

The left is trying really hard to just place all those that ever voted for him in a "white supremacist" box...

Not all of us. I said you are right.

Holding him to my standard for a president, he failed.

Actually I do think Trump's base did change in some unfortunate ways that he ultimately didn't expect, but that's another subject altogether.

To answer your question, I'm sure any and all elected officials at this top level are, as a matter of common sense, aware that there is in all likelihood a certain unpredictable segment of their "base". That applies without exception to all sides, not just specifically Trump and his people.

If he did, then so did Kamala and she needs to be impeached on day 1.

Yeah it could happen. Anything could have happened.

Are you saying that people who feel they need to protest shouldn't have been able to because 3 guys might want to bomb rush the Capitol doors? If that's the case, better close down every protest ever

I don't remember this sentiment being expressed during the actual riots. The talking points were don't loop the protesters in with the rioters.

Here you go. The PBS video of the speech is linked. Also, I included below the relevant excerpts from the speech with the corresponding times from the video, so everyone can verify the "incitement" for themselves.

At 56:43 minutes, Trump says:

"After this, we’re going to walk down and I’ll be there with you. We’re going to walk down. We’re going to walk down any one you want, but I think right here. We’re going walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators, and congressmen and women."

At 57:35 minutes, Trump says:

"I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard. Today we will see whether Republicans stand strong for integrity of our elections."

At 1:51:49, Trump says in conclusion:

"So we’re going to, we’re going to walk down Pennsylvania Avenue, I love Pennsylvania Avenue, and we’re going to the Capitol and we’re going to try and give… The Democrats are hopeless. They’re never voting for anything, not even one vote. But we’re going to try and give our Republicans, the weak ones, because the strong ones don’t need any of our help, we’re going to try and give them the kind of pride and boldness that they need to take back our country."

But the “first wave of protesters arrived at the Capitol about 12:40pm.” 16 minutes before Trump even made that harmless statement.
