Hell yes. The food is the main thing I miss about the South. We have soul food places here but it seems like everyone ruins it trying to put some sort of west coast spin on it.

Today, folks, we have a deconstructed chitlin pâté served with collard green extract on top of a buttermilk biscuit crepe.

A little bit of the hemp tonight too eh?
I like those pickled quail eggs myself.

It didn't sound too bad. Waiting on the better half to finish cooking spaghetti so I'm starving.

Just Bombay Sapphire, tonic water, and lime wheels. I haven't touched the hemp in a little while. A little break is needed every now and then - but my newfound sobriety has me considering using clean peepee for possible career changes.

Mmmm. Haven't tried to do that with quail, just regular ol' hen eggs. I do love me some fresh grilled quail, though. Field bird hunting is the sport of gentlemen

Must not have a lot of Fried Chicken Places there either! ??

I have eaten at a Popeye's in Tempe.
Great food and actually met a Louisiana couple who moved there and had season tickets to the Diamondbacks the year they won the World Series.
Great seats and saw Randy Johnson and Kurt Schilling pitch. Incredible, especially seeing Randy pitch live. Wow!
Great time and great place......other than the kidnappings I have heard about from the cartels.

They are popular here in south Louisiana at a lot of the mom and pop Cajun stores that are still operating.
Good bite size morsels.
If you get the chance, try them.

I love to hunt quail as well but the red ants have devastated them here in Louisiana.

I can still get quail at my deer lease in west Texas.
The population is cyclical due to the weather and varmints, but when there are birds, there are lots of birds and FUN!

If you were joking, sorry. But, you're not a frequent poster on here and there are those that post stuff like you did that are completely serious about it.

Arizona must be pretty conservative because a friend of mine who used to live there said it's not unusual to see people doing open carry.

Northern Arizona is seriously retired white racists to some degree. Look at the demos of those towns. Lot of gun sales, militias.

If the left is looking for the modern KKK it's in Northern Arizona. Retired white men who fought in WWII and don't give a frick...And hate McCain.

Hell, I like pickled pig's feet. About once a month mom would drive over to a store in the "colored" part of town to get us a gallon jar. In two days they were gone.

Lived in Phoenix years ago.

See the people.

Yankee? Still? Rolleyes

Yankee is not west coast and Arizona is a different area code from America.

I've lived in Alaska. Zona is more different than Alaska.

Arizona was the poster child for "staying the course" for the South....It's all Louisiana, Missouri and Florida transplants.

Good friend of mine that lives in Phoenix is originally from Mexico but is a legal U.S. Citizen. Her parents still live in Mexico but frequently visit the US legally (they are upper middle class business owners), I think they have dual citizenship or something.

Her and her family are wayyyy more conservative than I am.
