Trump's policy seems to be to take the leadership out and tell them to choose someone else, less bad. It seems the problem in the past is trying to create a perfect scenario. what's happening in Iran does not resemble what happened in Venezuela and looks more like the post 9/11 'war on terror' strategy of afghanistan, iraq, libya etc. two completely different situations.
