So how is a vaccine effective when you can still contract and spread the virus. My company covid 19 response team is pushing this vaccine harrddd and the only message is to get informed and get the vaccine because it reduces the severity of the virus. Basically asking us to please just do the thing.

If they try to use the fear pill again, they will have to convince the 50% of the country, that the new strain is dangerous.
That percent of the country doesn't trust the vaccine, the media, or the Fed Gov't.
If they threaten shutdowns again, half the country aint listening.

Short form-
I have little trust for the government or the medical establishment at this moment given how they have played fast and loose with this the last 18+ months.
Even if they did give me numbers, I would be skeptical simply because they have gotten caught so many times skewing totals and changing standards to get the results they want.

Our establishment has think tanks. It's hard to accurately guess what a group of very smart people are plotting, when they get together and bounce ideas off each other, working to come up with whatever outcome they are tasked with.

They only tested the unvacc’ed players to that point then suddenly, during the semifinals, tested some of the vacc’ed players and they came up positive. End of season.

I don't know a single healthy person that died from the virus. Everyone that died was very old, very obese, or generally had an issue like compromised system due to cancer, lung, or heart issues.
Literally every single person otherwise was barely impacted. Nobody even missed a day of work, granted they weren't allowed in the office.
My wife is a teacher. Not one teacher or student ever got so sick they had to go to hospital.
My kids go to different schools. We had a minimum of 6 total quarantines due to exposure, but nobody in these schools died or was even sick enough for hospital.
We've been living a normal life since April of 2020, which includes many visits to theme parks, which were always crowded, to beaches, campouts with scouts, restaurants, bars, planes, trains, automobiles, in person school... the works. How are people catching it? Why are so many NOT just dropping dead?
The news will run fear porn about a 1 year old that dies, but you won't find out they had leukemia unless you read the obituary and notice they ask for donations.
They'll talk about a 31 year old man that died, but never the fact he was 300+ pounds and on oxygen BEFORE the virus.
Who the crap are these hundreds of thousands of people?

How about spending some time on finding out who has already gotten covid and now have the T cells and antibodies? How about spending some time and money on looking into Hydroxychloraquine and Ivermectin and Remdesivir and other FDA approved medicines vs a non FDA approved experimental drug? Im open to the vaccine but IM not dumb enough to believe its the only solution. I know its the 1 that will make big pharma a gazzillion dollars I do know that.
