Unfortunately nearly all law enforcement has a political undercurrent, so most will do whatever is asked of them to survive and get that pension.

And what concerns you is enforcement of the quarantine... That's your wake up call? Figures
You are an anti-cop piece of shite too.

That’s only a part of it. No matter how many anecdotes we hear about cops who would oppose gov overreach, the majority see the world as us vs. them and will gleefully enforce any ordinance, law or restriction.

I naively believed this before Covid. Not anymore.

Agreed. And the militarization of the police force has certainly not helped that attitude.

20 years ago I think many would have stood with the people. Today not so much. The police have become militarized today. He'll you have small departments with armored cars donated by the feds even. They have a us versus them mentality. Not all, but a very large percentage. I also think the older guys would be more inclined to side with the people while many of the very young ones would go full nazi. Best friend is a retired detective with over 30 years of service. He retired early because he didn't want to conform to the new ways....

Yep. Your local sheriff or PD really have a lot of use for these things. That the FEDs have been passing out like candy.
Is that Douglas County, Colorado?!

I think the unprecedented overreach and enforcement of unconstitutional stay at home orders, to the point of ridiculousness, has made people realize that most cops would happily enforce such an order.
sad but true.

I definitely think the likelihood is higher they will than won't which before I would have said no way...

When you see cops with shirts and stickers on cars that depict spartan helmets with the blue line through it, that speaks a lot to the mentality...a mentality of war against the people...

The City Police where I live in N.E. AL have a long history of abusing people.

The barrier to entry to be a local cop are almost zero. You can have an GED and be a cop. Think about that...

They need a check every week.
Most will follow the orders of their superiors.

Are cops being routinely tested for Covid before being unleashed on the communities?
Because,” muh testing!”

Where do you live where you need a GED to be a cop? It’s an associates at least where I’m at

I've had a low opinion on law enforcement ever since I was a mid teenager. One of my best friends was run over and killed by a drunk driver. It was 4:00 on a Friday afternoon no less. Said drunk driver happened to be the nephew of the sheriff, and somehow they lost all the paperwork where the drunk got away with it. I got woken up early to what law enforcement is capable of.

Law enforcement is a damn necessary evil. We need law enforcement so we can go to work and not have to stay home to protect our shite! I'm no fan of law dawgs because of the way they pick and choose what laws they enforce and who they enforce it on, and don't get me started on Louisiana State troopers.... Those mfers are nothing but pos revenue collectors...

There's no national standard. Requirements are all over the place.
