I am descended from a great Indian chief. Indians are the true native Americans. Everything was taken from them. Those who seek to take away what they have now are my enemy. I have never scalped anyone but there is always a first time for everything.

As both from a family an early pioneers, first settlers and being cherokee, let me say respectfully, you have no clue on this

I'll take the DVs, but I kind of agree with you... Them having sovereignty that is denied to any other groups- yet still maintaining US citizenship just doesn't seem right to me. I'd feel differently if other groups got to have their own sovereignty.

You mean you don't understand why treaties have to be honored?
Like the ones that state they must stay on the reservation?
Yeah man, the treaties have long been superceded by other acts of Congress.

It just goes to show you that if your homeland security is shite and you have open borders, everything goes to hell.

I wonder if any of that money trickles down to all members of the tribe?

It most certainly does. Even to the fake tribes. Yes, there are casinos that belong to made up tribes.

On a side note, frick the Indians that run the tourist trap at the Grand Canyon. Those frickers charge you a hundred dollars a person to load onto a shitty bus where they then dump you off at multiple spots. On top of that the welcome center smells of BO, piss and over priced shite food. I’ve never seen so many barrel arse Indians in my life.

Yea really on the East Coast.
It's a bunch of 99% White people who play dress up and collect gambling money.
I'd rather give those casinos to actual tribes.

The Mohegan Tribe's net worth is reported as $2.5 billion, making it the second wealthiest Native American tribe

The tribe's economic ventures are managed through Mohegan (formerly Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment), a global entertainment brand that includes several properties across North America and Asia

We should have ICE apprehend them on put them on a plane back where they came from.

Land that they stole from other tribes. Personally I don't have a problem with Reservations. If the Tribe is organized enough to grant wealth for everyone involved. Good for them.

They give many of their young men to our armed forces. They generally keep to themselves and aren’t woke. They complain about the environment but they are actually right…I have no problem with natives

Every one negotiated under the act of 1830 stated that they must live on the reservation or they would forfeit the benefits of the treaty.
C'mon bruh.

Oh you mean they must live in the reservation to see reservation benefits? That's not too crazy. Consider they these were nations being negotiated with. Land taken was given elsewhere in most cases some got to stay on the land but how would the Cherokee nation as an example provide it's benefits outside of its jurisdiction?
