The way it went down in the video it hard to see what attempts were made to direct or command him to do anything.that he could respond to......when he got between the woman an the BP agent he was immediately blasted twice in the face with chemical irritant. At that point he was probably fricked up, couldnt see, breath and in a panic state. He was then immediately brought down and tackled by 6 agents and shot seconds later.
Yea he fricked up engaging with law enforcement in that situation while armed but this wasn't a calm methodical arrest with an officer giving specific commands and him.having an opportunity to respond but refused
He's a 38 year old healthcare worker, I think he's intelligent enough to comply without being told how to. Or, at the very least give it a good college try.
There is absolutely nothing he did that suggested he was interested in complying.

It's a public street/sidewalk

It looks like the worst case would be negligent discharge.

Simple.
This incident happened in an area infested with those impeding agent's work. I've seen plenty of evidence of that even without watching this particular video.

Because we've seen dozens of videos of these interactions, right? The idiots standing in front of the vehicles, the idiots blowing whistles/horns in the face of ICE, the idiots standing/pushing, the idiots spitting - so that's probably why some might give the benefit of the doubt to law enforcement while considering whether or not they just randomly shoved a woman to the ground.

Then there's no reason you can't watch the videos.
Good grief.

The point is there doesn't seem to be an opportunity to comply
And this normally wouldn't have been that big of a deal, but in this instance the LEO fricked up (accidental discharge) which led to them compounding that mistake with worse ones (killing him).
Once LEO reacted, he got maced and went down and that was that, basically. Nothing indicates flailing or fighting, and the killing was a few seconds later (again, likely due to LEO negligence/mistakes)

Why were they there, what purpose did it serve.

Why do you think that matters if she's interfering with law enforcement?
You can't just pull over and stick your nose in a traffic stop, right? Why would this be different (assuming she was sticking her nose in an ICE operation)?

My son is doing schoolwork... I'm not distracting him by watching youtubes or x videos. He works slow af as it is.

The ICE operation was across the street

You ABSOLUTELY have the right (not according to the laws of the state, but according to natural laws) to “protect” someone the police “attack”. In fact, you should do this if you are absolutely convinced it’s the right thing to do. But you should expect to either kill them or be killed yourself once you go down that path.

That's not established at this point. And even if it were, we don't know if the LEO caused it. There are videos floating around of that gun accidentally discharging through no fault of the handler.

No, he rose back up (didn't try and stay down) AND reached behind himself, into his waistband.
He wasn't clawing at his face after being maced.

That's a hell of an unfounded assumption.
You should have just told powerman, "I don't care what your description is because I've already decided that this couldn't have happened unless it was the protestor's fault, so regardless of what you say, I'm just going to respond with," that video just didn't show the part where it was the woman's fault."
It would have saved both of you (and me) some time.
