Why are the Russians arming the Iranians? I’m told they’re a peaceful, benevolent nation who only acted out of self-defense and they have no hegemonic aspirations.

Iran actually entering makes things very awkward for Biden and the DEMS, as they prefer relations with Iran to SA, and soiled a lot of progress Trump made with SA during his admin (at the expense of Iran).
The last major act of the Biden admin engaging with their desired ally Iran would be...something.
