The Iron Dome looks at the targets individually, calculates trajectory and determines if the incoming target is a threat to a populated area or vital resource. If the system determines it to be a signifcant threat, it engages. That is my understanding. Not all incoming targets are targeted because this would be a waste of resources. Of course some are going to get thru, but my guess is that the great majority of hits you are seeing on the ground is in areas of low vital interest as determined by the targeting system.

Biden's biggest foreign policy frickup was eradicating all the progress Trump had with SA, so they could get closer to Iran instead....just as Trump's best FP was probably the goodwill we developed with SA.
Many years ago I was still in the believer camp re: Iran, thinking they were just one more riot away from the mullahs being overthrown, but it's fantasy shite the DEMs still believe in large numbers.

It's wild to me that an administration with Blinken, Nuland, Mayorkas, Garland, Haines, Klain, etc. would be pro-Iran. Yet, here we are.

The thing about the Iron Dome is that it can be overwhelmed. That's what Iran was doing with their previous missile strikes that everyone said were ineffective. They were just testing and probing it's weaknesses.

That's what some of the alt media guys were saying at the time, that it was a probing and warning to Israel of what they could do. But, MSM painted it as a failure. It's hard to know what to believe when it comes to conflicts.

All 500 drones and cruise missiles were intercepted long before reaching Israel. Out of 110 balistic missles, 100 were intercepted by Arrow 3 interception system, 9 got through and 5 fell around Nevatim airbase (in the Negev desert) and 4 fell on Negev Airbase but caused no damage at all.
Only damage to Nevatim Airbase was a slightly damaged C-120 from rock shrapnel, damage to an empty airplane hangar, and slight damage to an unused runway.
1 Bedouin young girl was injured in Negrev from shrapnel but not critically.
I would say that Israel did a phenomenal job on defending itself in this attack.

Many of these missiles are taken out by US and Israel BEFORE they even get into Israel airspace.
Once in Israel airspace, Iron Dome has become a generic term for air defense, there are several systems for different type attacks Patriot, Thaad, Davids Sling, Arrow 1, 2, and 3.
Allies have trained for such an attack for years, and had a scrimmage with Iran two months ago. The one major theme would be to respond to a barrage to overwhelm the system......I highly doubt that happened. Same as two months ago, sounds like no harm of any magnitude.
