So we can drop the “I’m a small government conservative” bullshite here? It’s abundantly clear there are very few posters who actually want a limited federal government. They just want the other team punished so they can feel like they’re better than their fellow Americans.

Smooth brained clown act.

The president who actually invoked an insurrection will fake insurrections across the country in order to abuse the Constitution?

You do realize you misused the word "invoke", don't you?

Invoke is to cite or appeal to something as an authority.

If you were trying to say he told people to perform an insurrection at the Capitol, tell us what he said exactly.

He might get around to that. One of the ways Giuliani cleaned up NYC was by refusing to tolerate small violations of the law, like graffiti.

But any thinking person realizes that in handing a big problem you have to prioritize your actions; you can't do everything at once.

Did Washington DC experience a catastrophic weather event that destroyed a significant portion of the city and rendered utilities nonfunctional? I somehow missed that.

Yeah, this is just like Katrina. Crazy I didn’t see the similarities sooner.

Why didn’t the president of the Untied States make this decision for Giuliani?

You think I don't have dozens if not hundreds of downvotes for saying the same thing here?

I'm one of about 4-5 actual conservatives here. So what?

quote:

Btw calling responses you dislike as “bad faith” is fine but it’s dishonest.

(Sigh.)

Goodness you act stupid here. I can't not like responses you don't give. In a civil discussion/debate, people ask questions to clarify the issue or the logic surrounding the issue. Refusing to answer those questions is indeed bad faith in a discussion of this type.

You know why you won't answer them and so do I. If I was really warping anything, you'd be eager to answer the question b/c your answers would reveal the distortion.

Asking clarifying questions and hypotheticals are common mechanisms in debates to test logic. You won't submit your logic to the tests. We both know why.

You are frustrated

Not at all. Your refusal to answer speaks as loudly as if you did. Everyone knows why you won't.

Because he didn't have to.

Great news Chubs. A black person was killed last night in DC.

Maybe the mean tanks willl go away? (There are no tanks. There were no tanks in NO. Do you know what tank tracks would do to the cobble stones in the Quarter?

VOR, do you ever get tired of being on the wrong side of history?

High crime, trans ideology, crushing taxes, and an uneducated populace is not a winning strategy.

Now, are you going to answer any of the questions I asked you?

Again, I will never understand why so many of you here go back and forth with this attention whore. This narcissist is the worst of the worst.

I had to laugh yesterday when they had the nerve to state, along with other progressives here, that they make "good faith" arguments. This is yet another example of the OPPOSITE.

Why waste your time with people that do not want to coexist with you? They want these criminals to take your place because they know the criminals will vote right with them. You really think you can debate someone with that thought process?

He didn't have to. Giuliani already accomplished it.

Then you know how tiresome it is reading post after post of contradictions. You say you’re an actual conservative. Imo, the President deploying the military in this situation is not aligned with limiting government.

I answered the only question posed to me in this post.

I’ve mentioned this before but I don’t always have the bandwidth to respond to paragraphs and paraphrase in a single post and address each point or question.

Did you implore the president of the United States to deploy military police to NYC before Giuliani accomplished it?

You really don’t understand the words I’ve repeatedly typed stating explicitly that I believe the federal government is abusing its authority? You think this is about “mean tanks?”

The government can stop people from getting a paper cut by banning paper products. I guess you’ll be begging the president to do that next? Unless you delight in kids getting paper cuts? That’s the game we’re playing, right?

What a lazy argument

Upholding the laws of civil society is probably one of the most important and legitimate things a government should be concerned with.

Force (police, firearms, the force of law) is a great equalizer. It’s what gives equal footing to the naturally weaker of society, the elderly, women and children. My elderly mother should have the right to move about in society without being assaulted. The police, firearms, and force of law ensure she has that right.
