They need to break these companies up and Dorsey and Zuckerberg should be taken away in handcuffs.

What law obligates a pvt company to allow you to use its service to say or do whatever you want while accessing their website?

Solution, don’t use twitter.

They can publish what they want.

They’d lose their legal protections as a platform.

Why is this so difficult for people to understand?

Yes, we want big, competent fed gov regulating the internet...especially since it will always be a conservative, republican gov with its hand on the lever.

Yet Silicone Valley is so deeply embedded int Wash. D.C. that even some Republicans are dragging their feet in this investigations. This per several different FOX News analysts.

Is it not his company? Are we big or small gov here?
after too big to fail, bank bailouts, and printing covid money, we are clearly a large behemoth of bureaucratic big government.

My question is: why hasn’t our huge, bloated government found time to regulate Silicon Valley monopolies/duopolies? They are clearly blurring the line between publisher and platform. If we can make a private bakery uphold citizen’s constitutional rights, why do tech companies with 1000Xs the power not have to?

Lying to congress, absolutely. Not sure what rises to the level of treason. Maybe I missed something.
They have been doing what the law allows; platform vs publisher. The 230 should be ripped out from them all post haste once the election is past.

So because we were big government in the past that justifies doubling down on it and becoming even moreso? Can the right at least stop pretending to be small government because they clearly aren’t in the least.

It's not about big/small. It's about 203 status. Cnn had to pay Nick Sandman millions because they are considered a publisher. Social media is, currently, exempt from lawsuits, because they allow open discussions. When social media decides what their members see and what they don't, they, in essence, become a publisher. They should lose their 203 exemption status. Eta:spelling

Removing the special legal protections they enjoy is smaller government, mensa.
