I'd say that's bullshite....
It's like me trying to say I had cancer when in fact I had high grade dysplasia which was going to be cancer... it was severe enough they had to remove my entire colon and the medicine I was on crossed over enough my hair fell out and my Thyroid was ruined...
I still don't try to say I had cancer. That'd be a slap in the face imo to people who actually had it and beat it despite the diagnosis and medicines and ultimately the surgical solution all were much the same.

Hi, combat veteran here. Being in the military during a war does NOT make you a combat veteran. Being in the combat zone makes you a combat veteran.

I served in the Army but was never deployed during Desert Shield / Storm and their is no way in hell I am claiming combat Veteran. It is a disservice and disrespect to real combat veterans.

Thanks, I was just going to post this. His uniform won't have a patch on the right shoulder. He's a veteran but not a combat veteran.

There’s a big difference and James knows it. I was in Kuwait during operation enduring freedom. I am not a combat vet. Not one round was fired at me. If you want to be technical so the people who don’t understand think he was storming Baghdad, that’s dishonest at best.
