Quit lecturing people. The AG is using self-dealing as the basis. It will take years finish the suit. The entity can re-situs. All you’re doing is proving to everyone you made it through your first year of law school. What you are posting isn’t all that relevant.

Absolutely, they'll just re-incorporate in all likelihood. They will have to stop touting their 140+ year history, but no major change to operations.

Someone asked the question of whether this was legally possible, and I was just answering the question. I didn't raise this point.

Oddly enough their 501c3 registration EIN comes back to Placerville, CA
The National Rifle Association of America, which is what you think of as the NRA, is a 501(c)(4). The NRA Foundation, an associated entity, is a 501(c)(3).

I'll never support an organization that supports gun control.
There are many better alternatives.

The only sticker on my car
I will admit the Oliver North stuff did bother me a bit. I haven’t donated in a while but I haven’t abandoned ship. A lot of good people in the NRA.
As far as the NY AG goes, you can dissolve my dick down your mouth, ya fricking bitch.

Somewhat off topic ... but where did all of these ignorant black women with law degrees come from? Do you get an honorary law degree with your EBT cards now? I'm sorry, but I know there have to be smarter black women around than the ones running these blue states. Affirmative action, wholly frick!

While I disagree with this because it's purely political, Wayne LaPierre is a fricking crook. I won't renew my membership until he's gone.

All correct. CA registration might just be the address of the law firm that filed the application for them.

LaPierre is pretty shady - remember Ollie North was pushed out as head of the NRA after he started asking too many questions about finances and expenditures. LaPierre claimed North was extorting him by threatening to disclose damaging financial information. North’s resignation letter basically said that someone really needs to take a close look at the NRA’s accounting.
The move by NYAG is obviously politically motivated by dems, but that doesn’t mean the allegations and violations of law are untrue. The NRA is a charity - can’t be used as a personal slush fund for leadership.
100%
My wife and I were going to renew after hearing the initial news. However, after looking into this case and allegations against LaPierre we won't renew until NRA gets their shite figured out.

Supposedly Lapierre has been using NRA funds to pay for a lot of personal expenses for him and his family.
The dude made over $2 million in 2018 according to the NRA tax return.

Screw the NRA. They will gladly take your money while doing as little as possible for you.
They exist to lobby you for more money. That's all...

They finally quit calling me after I told them 20 times that I wasn’t giving another dime until LaPierre was gone.

Misuse of funds and fraudulent behavior does not mean they aren't accomplishing anything.
If you want to see misuse of funds, fraudulent behavior, AND not accomplishing anything see the Obama administration. I at least got a hat and a monthly magazine with pictures of guns in it for supporting NRA. more than I ever got for my bi weekly "donation" to Obama and crew.
