Good post, but the Iran lovers around here simply deny thats true and everyone is just bullying Iran.
They are impossible.

Ok, but even if progress has been slow, most credible evidence indicates that they are indeed making progress. It’s hard for me to blame Israel for intervening in the interest of self preservation. I go back and forth on the wisdom of the US intervening directly, but the prospect of a nuclear-armed sponsor of international Islamic terrorism isn’t fantastic.

People on here are too fricking dumb and uninformed to comprehend anything that you just wrote in your post. However, Tucker Carlson says it's not a problem so we must believe Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens!

Were those reports from the previous administration? When was she confirmed?

Do not attribute to deception that which can be explained by incompetence.

For those of you still confused about the whole Iran and nuclear bomb thing. The level u-235 (the uranium isotope that produces fission) needs to be enriched to for nuclear power is 3.5%. A report from nuclear watchdog agencies from Nov. 2024 stated that Iran is currently enriching uranium to a level of 60%. 90% enrichment is needed to produce a nuclear weapon. In February 2025 it was reported that Iran was currently installing new centrifuges that could easily take the enrichment from 60-90%. Now let's say Iran never wanted a nuke then why would they enrich u-235 well past the amount needed for peaceful nuclear power?

Yes I posted two links to this in a response. I believe it was on the second page of the thread. One link is to a breakdown of the IAEA report and the other is from an article from scientific america

Terrorist states all over the world have nukes. Why are we drawing a line with Iran

Some of us choose not to ignore the favorite chant of our Iranian counterparts since 1979, "Death to America!" Just the fact that they have consistently done so for close to half a century tells me that it probably is in our best interests to prevent them from having nukes. But do you, baw.

I'm not afraid of any country. Having no Air Force or Navy probably helps them, with the likes of you. A dirty nuke strolling across one of our borders in a suitcase would make one hell of a mess, though. or maybe they can just take a little of their Obama money and buy what they need to deliver what they want from Russia, or China. Lord knows we've been helping Ukraine kill Russians plenty.

Do you have any idea how many nukes have been "lost". Especially after the USSR went under

Not to mention the other 6 or 7 rounds of talks with them produced nothing while they continued to enrich uranium well past what is needed to power production and installed new centrifuges to go further.

How many times were they going to be allowed to stall while inching closer to their goal?

The new intelligence indicating Iran's increased uranium enrichment and potential for rapid nuclear weapons development has led to a reassessment of the situation by U.S. officials. While Director Gabbard's earlier assessment was based on available information at the time, the recent developments have prompted a more cautious and confrontational approach from the U.S. government.

Why did the DNI say a couple of months ago Iran wasn't seeking a weapon then?

Specifically, she stated that Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had not reauthorized the nuclear weapons program suspended in 2003.

Which is probably true.

she also said this

quote:

Iran maintains a significant stockpile of enriched uranium, including levels that exceed thresholds typical for peaceful nuclear energy programs
