Noem is a weird pick but maybe she'll do well. IIRC she was onboard with the trans stuff and closing things down in SD during covid but her legislature stopped her.
I'm curious where she will stand with a wall and similar measures. Ann Coulter says Noem doesn't want a wall but wants to rely on technology at the border (sensors / cameras etc) for security. However, the statements I've seen from her seem like she supports building a wall.
