I think people are projecting their anger of the ADA's ludicrous questioning onto thinking the defense was wrong for putting him on the stand.

Kyle's testimony was consistent despite insane and extreme twisting and spinning and his demeanor was honest and sympathetic. It was a win. It just sucked getting there. The ADA continued to make the defense's case as he always has, unwittingly.

I love this judge and I'm going to use that emancipation proclamation statement next time I tell my staff they can give me opinions but my opinion is what matters.

Does the prosecuter think he is doing any good. Nothing but gotcha moments for mispoken details.

I don't think they are. The defense had more to lose than gain by calling Rittenhouse. It worked out but it was a gamble.

Change Kyle's race to minority or gender to non male and this would have never went to trial.

Facts.

The DA filed charges within 48 hours. Already had their mind made up.

Why did you have a jack in your car on your trip to the grocery if you didn't plan to have a flat tire?

Why did you wear your seat belt if you didn't plan on getting into an accident?

Why did you take vitamin C unless you plan on getting sick?

There aren't too many competent defense attorneys out there who wouldn't have been thrilled to have an opportunity such as this with a client such as this to be able to call to the stand. This was as good a scenario as it gets for that, and it was by far a prudent move.

Can’t be! Liberals are tolerant and caring!

But as I cautioned yesterday, Satan can quote scripture!

I said something to the effect when they first put him on the stand and everyone here was freaking out (check the posts) that too many people get hung up on the notion that you should always stick with "conventional wisdom" when there are plenty of scenarios where that can be the WORST course of action you could take.

I thought then, and still do, this was one of those situations.

I don't know. I don't think the case is any better with Kyle's testimony than it was before. I mean, the jury saw with their own eyes that this is not a wild-eyed, right wing murdering machine. On the other hand, Little Binger scored a few snarky jabs. His own incompetence in not keeping those concise with a cohesive narrative to use in his summation is another issue entirely.

I tend to agree with the stream lawyers, if you put your barely 18 ( ) murder defendant on the stand, then you have to steadfastly defend him with objections.

Typical Leftist. You have to wait until you’re shot to defend yourself in their view. Unless you’re Ashli Babbet.
