Trump can moderate all he wants, but he will get the blame over Roe from the left.

I don’t think Trump really cares one way or the other on abortion. He’s a NY lib, social issues for the most part he is not a conservative on. Which is fine. I’m not particularly conservative on some social issues. Well I used to think I wasn’t but by 2023 standards I’m Pat Buchanan.

He’s trying to change course currently and it won’t work. That’s what we are laughing about.

Conceding that both are “bad”, what do you think is worse to those where abortion rights are an issue:

I'm anti abortion. We would not have many of the issues we do now, had we not promoted it.

Or

Overturning Roe?

You can only choose 1.

In the context of an election upcoming and the word "strict", my guess to those independents will be The 6 week law.

- Roe sent it to the states. Nothing more.

- The guy wanting to be president took it a step deeper.... and what happens if he becomes president?

I applaud your optimism on the intellect and constitutional knowledge of the American electorate.

No he's not. He's simply not making it into a fight when the office of the President is not the level to make it.

Signing the 6 week law here doesn't mean he would support a bill at the fed level

No no.. This is a:

Biden vs Trump... Trump isn't running on abortion. He will say what he has been saying. The court sent it back to the states.

Biden vs DeSantis.. Running on Abortion...

If you are going to take this poll as a guide of who can win... It's neither. Are we playing grenades? Trump would do better on that issue. You even have Anti abortion groups mad because he won't say anything other that stop making it your message.

In primaries because that stuff works at that level, then they moderate at "the federal level" for the general.

That's pretty common. I'm not sure I've ever seen someone run as an agnostic on abortion in a Republican primary and win, but Trump is unique I guess.

You can not have it both ways FB.

He is running on it now, and the left isn't going to let voters forget a law he signed and ran on in the primary.

That means the words "71% say they will not vote for" applies.

Has nothing to do with getting the abortion vote.

71% of the independents in the poll that noles is promoting to bash Trump is showing:

- DeSantis doing as bad vs Biden.

- and the reason appears to be that 71% of independents say they WILL NOT VOTE FOR A CANDIDATE WITH STRICT ABORTION RULES

That doesn't answer the question. Why does he 'turn them off'?

You accuse Trump of not being as conservative as desantis (the 6 week abortion ban guy) and then say Trump turns people off because of abortion?? Talk about being laughed at.
