It still amazes me ukraines borders aren’t to be crossed but ours is everyday and Americans lose lives here at home. What’s the difference of Russia encroaching Ukraine and every country in the world encroaching ours?

I think both sides are taking insane amounts of casualties. Not sure if Russia is counting Wagner as part of their dead or not but would have to think both sides have exchanged heavy blows with each other. Only Russia has more man power to expend than Ukraine. I look at the Twitter/Reddit of both Russian and Ukrainian bias, and both post videos/pics of soldiers from the other side being taken out in huge numbers. This is really WW1 shite and it’s crazy we can basically witness it. I saw an ariel drone video recently in very good quality of a russian soldier storming a Ukrainian trench and taking out a few Ukrainian soldiers. It’s wild and humbling to see. I’m sure there is a lot of disinformation from both sides on casualties and KIA, but at least from what I’ve seen, granted I’m no expert, I have to imagine the numbers are massive for both. If Ukraine is truly only doing their upcoming upcoming counter offensive with 40k soldiers, I think that is very telling that their casualty numbers are finally catching up to them.

I don't know what I think unintentionally leaked documents would look like. If it wasn't meant for public consumption, it's hard to estimate the validity. I'd still expect them to paint as rosey a picture as they possibly could.

The Rus 16-17K KIAs match up with the Mossad estimate. The Ukr losses are a good 100K less than the Mossad estimate.
