Wow you really think Biden won this election fairly when states are literally coming out and admitting massive voter fraud?
This is hilarious

They will NEVER answer you.
All they care about is that it annoys you and costs you money. That's it.
The simple answer is revenge.

I also don't think manufacturing is coming back and the US needs to continue its transition to a service-based economy
But it already did. Remember Obama said the same thing, that manufacturing couldn't come back, but then it did.
Why wouldn't we want to build our own shite? Is your conscience ok with our manufacturing being outsourced to slave labor in China? Is slavery ok with you as long as its not in your immediate vicinity?
You are like a weak woman who won't kill an animal themselves because they feel sympathy for it, but are more than happy for someone else to slaughter it for them so they can eat their hamburger.

I joined just so I could reply to this because this entire place is an echo chamber.
I've already explained why I'm not a fan of Republicans.
1) Protectionism/Tariffs aren't a solution to anything. Anyone who took basic microeconomics would know this and most Economists are against it for a reason. Trump also increased deficits pretty significantly because he didn't cut spending when he cut taxes.
2) Trump handled Coronavirus very, very poorly. I'm not even going to go into it because it will spark a whole discussion that I don't care for.
3) I'm not a working-class guy. Republicans are morphing into a party that caters to blue-collar workers, ignoring that most of us don't work in blue-collar roles. Their policies don't appeal to me and I'm not in their target demographics.
4) I'm socially left-wing. I think abortion should be accessible for those who need it.
5) I think trade deals are pretty good. I'm a fan of globalization and I think the US economy has thrived under it (we export services to the rest of the world).
6) I majored in Economics and Republicans didn't publish any economic policies or platform. I couldn't find it anywhere. Trump didn't really run on a platform in 2020 and in 2016, his entire platform boiled down to 'bringing back jobs' which isn't coherent policy.
7) Republicans had no plan for healthcare. They spent years trying to repeal Obamacare and had nothing to replace it.
8) Instability is bad for any financial firm. Trump was a liability, not a benefit. You never knew what he would tweet and who he would tweet at.
9) I have no idea why Republicans attack immigration so much and I disagree with them on this. Immigration is necessary because the US has an ageing population - worker-dependent ratios are decreasing and fertility rates are declining. If anything, we need more immigration to stop the decline. I've been looking at projections and the labor force will decline, not increase in size over the next few decades. That's bad for business and bad for growth.
The Democrats, on the other hand, published a coherent platform in 2020. They set out their proposals, which was a hell of a lot better than nothing. They wanted to strengthen Obamacare and bring out a public option, which I can see the rationale for. The Republicans didn't really have a plan for the next 4 years.
What I'm most excited about is having stable leadership rather than the erratic nature of the previous president. As I've said, instability is bad for any business and at this point, stability is probably the most important thing I look for. I'm not a revolutionary. I don't particularly care to bring back manufacturing or deliver coal jobs to a state that's dying and just hasn't accepted it. I think the status quo was fine as it is.

Quite frankly, I don't care where my stuff is built.
Let the free market dictate. Labor prices are much lower in China and they can manufacture at cheaper prices. I'm confused - I thought Republicans were the party that advocates the power of the free market.
I'm not the weak woman in this scenario here. You are. I see no advantages in bringing manufacturing back to the US - it just means goods will be very expensive, which is bad for the rest of us.
I'm not clinging to industry that will never come back. What we can do is continue to strengthen the US's dominance in technology, financial services and pharmaceuticals among other services.
As I said, I'd be a Republican if Mitt Romney was running.

You got that right. It ain't. China is where the factories are now, and that's where they will remain.

One thing you’ll find or notice about the American Marxists, when challenged with pointed questions they frequently disappear for awhile, desperately trying to formulate some Dim pretzel logic to answer a question that they understand exposes their destructive ideology.

Republicans have become far too anti-free-trade and anti-globalization for my liking. Tariffs and protectionism aren't for me.
China using what amounts to slave labor while we are beholden to all sorts of regulations and taxes isn’t really free trade, though.
I think what you meant to say is that you like cheap trinkets made in Chinese slave shops is more important to you than having a strong American manufacturing sector.
And how to do you plan to employ all of these uneducated - illiterate 3rd worlders while at the same time offshoring American manufacturing?

Yes they did. It was the Graham Cassidy plan which gave healthcare decisions to the states. So they had a plan, they just didn't have the votes.

Do you want immigration done legally or illegally? Republicans are for legal immigration. Democrats want illegal immigration so they can grow their voter base. Democrats have proved they will ignore laws so they can grow their base.

Bullshat. Operation Warp Speed. Trump is the reason you had a vaccine in less then a years time. That was all that matters.
