Trump is one of the OGs of brand building around a name. If you pull back to a meta view it is the same script Kim Kardashian used to build nearly $2B in wealth. Seeking publicity always even if it is bad and using reality TV and social media is at the core. Trump used Page 6 like Kim used Twitter and IG.
I wouldn't call it a grift but I wouldn't invest a penny in a Trump business plan that didn't have his name associated with it. Even the ones that do would require him to have a significant amount of skin past his name in the game before I would remotely be interested. DJT appears to be the latter.
His forte is brand building which is certainly an admirable skill but he really hasn't done much to show he is a nuts and bolts guy.

I bought the IPO before it was DJT. It's been a pretty volatile stock since it listed in Sept '21.
Volatility isn't bad. I'll be buying DJT around the $18/share mark. It's going to continue to be volatile until Trump can sell. I probably won't touch it after that though. Probably.
But again, I don't have any long term investments except for the TQQQ I inherited in 2016.

What I said was I thought the market cap of the stock would be around a billion when Trump can cash out. You and others took exception. I posted explicitly in this thread it isn’t a 10 billion dollar company. I have posted several times I think Trump will get out at less than 10 dollars but over 7. Yet you and others continually attacked me personally and ignored my posts about the value. It’s really bizarre.

Not saying it will last but I’ve never used truth social. The dude has some hardcore followers and people who use it. And I’m considered a huge cultist here. I also never donated to him until he got convicted a few weeks ago. His media team is pretty solid though and it could continue beyond his politics.
