This. The safe isn’t their property anymore. No reason to give anyone the code to open it.

I'm happy to have a backup plan for gaining entrance. If it bothered me, I'd change the lock. They aren't expensive. If the feds want in my safe that lock isn't stopping them.

Feds a 'backdoor' code to access the contents of the safe

I wonder if that code was as simple as:
00000
12345
11111
99999
54321
1776
070476
010621
072608
091847
112042
or my trolling favorite 061446.

Bonus points if you can guess those dates without looking them up.

Hopefully you clowns join hands and tank the price of their safes. I need a bigger one, or two.

It’s a back door around the 4th amendment.

Well, I can't say I expected to wake up to a thread about safes that so perfectly captures how stupid some people can be.

Them telling the FBI to pound sand wouldn’t have mattered, the FBI would have still gotten in the safe.

This is true.

And it's also another reason why they should have told them to pound sand.

The news spread far enough in one day that Liberty felt they had to put out a damage control statement about it. They’re about to take a huge hit over this

My issue is more with the fbi on this one. Did they give the owner the option of letting them in or having his safe destroyed? What evidence were they even searching for that pertained to him being present at the capital on j6? I don't even know why they'd need to get in the safe in the first place. I don't fault the manufacturer at all for having a backup way to access the safe. Perhaps their policy of giving that access to law enforcement should be reevaluated.

Per the Hodge Twins on Twitter, a friend of theirs, an attendee to J6, someone who did not enter the US Capital, but just attended to be there, has been arrested by the Feds.

Pertaining to J6 or something else?

If the warrant is properly prepared and presented, then the problem is with the judicial system and not the private company.

The private company no longer owns the safe. Why should it have access?

So Apple doesn’t assist law enforcement with getting into their products, but Liberty does?

The warrant is illegal in this case. J6 is all about persecuting Trump supporters.

When apple is more to the right of you on privacy you need to re-evaluate a few things.

There wouldn't be anything there for J6. They were looking to see if he had any unlicensed guns or torn mattress tags to get him in hot water over.

Oh really. Did you forget about the PC affidavits submitted to the FISA court to get the warrants to spy on Trump?

I bet you believe those were properly prepared because a judge signed off on them

Hey, it got a signature! There’s your judicial system, clown
