From what I have read so far about the POS that attacked the guardsmen it does not seem that Trump's deployment of the guard had anything to do with his actions.
He served in a “Zero Unit,” an Afghan paramilitary force that worked with Americans and did targeted killings and torture. It seems he had some significant mental health issues after that.
He drove across the entire country to get to D.C.. If he just wanted to target National Guard deployed by Trump Chicago is much closer to his home in Washington State.

True, however I doubt that Trump putting National Guard troops on the street in D.C. motived the shooter. If they were not there he would have found something else to target.

I mean, the violence was targeted, not random. The soldiers were the target.
