Article says both the FBI and ATF responded to the scene of the robbery.
Since it happened at a bank they probably treated it as a robbery at first, but it wasn't. Besides, it happened at 8:42 AM and the bank doesn't open until 9:00. The shooter is either a current or former employee who somehow got in before it opened.

I'm in Louisville -
It is strange, although the Mazzoli Federal Building is literally 1.8 miles from the shooting scene and does have the ATF, DEA and some FBI agents working there full time.

Is it routine to have local law enforcement, the FBI, AND ATF respond to a local bank robbery . . . even one involving an armed robber?
Not sure which agencies are typically involved, but Feds are always involved in bank robberies due to FDIC.

Registered Democrat by chance? I know I'll never put pronouns on any of my profiles.

I was wondering if he could squeeze one more “gun violence” in.

Nope. I am watching the Louisville news and they are saying he was either a current or former employee of the bank. (Not sure which).
Whaddya mean, "Nope"? A current or former employee of a bank can't rob the same bank?

The other pic is just a thumbnail. It's still there on his LI page.

This. FBI owns, in part, all bank robbery attempts.

Shooting was probably justified because they misgendered it in some online advertisement

Was this actually an armed robbery?
