They have officers on FBI task forces like the Safe Streets Task Force and Anti-Terrorism Task Force. I guarantee you they’ll take a report and even make an arrest on a stolen FBI gun. Also, the jail could be contracted to hold federal detainees for the marshals. I didn’t read the post close but it could be a federal arrest and the bad guy could be being detained there on federal charges
