I understand it's annoying. But I do think some things are helping (country of origin, the forthcoming ability to filter out by country of origin).
And before Elon, there were still fake accounts, millions of them. They just weren't permitted to amplify anything from the right.
But on an overarching level, there are a ton of stories where candidly the news/truth became mainstream in hours because of Elon-owned X, whereas prior to Elon it might have taken days/weeks for the truth to be widely accepted about a thing/incident (if ever).

they need to bring back the 124 or 128 or whatever it was character limit. the novellas on there now are all but unreadable
