I voted for Trump in the past and will probably do it again. But, I will listen to what DeSantis has to say. If he should get the nomination, then we’ll have to see what comes next and how that plays out. Either way, no Democrat will get my vote.

this is why you cannot be taken seriously here and should be perma banned. if you cannot accept facts just GTFO clown. DO you understand me ? do you? you look like a fool and you are a waste of space here. i have seen 5th graders with more brains than you.

so trump did not win 18 of 19 bellwhethers? states did not break their own voting laws? LOLOLOLOL

get mental help you are seriously ill. You really do not deserve posting privileges when you cannot accept plain facts.

So Trump won 18 of 19 bellweathers? Why is that significant? He didn't win the election.

What was a "bellweather" ten years ago may be insignificant today in polling. As sure as certain states today are becoming friendlier to Democrats (Georgia, Arizona, Colorado), other regions such as Florida and Ohio are more welcoming to Republicans. Voting patterns are related to demographics, which are constantly in flux.

Just a generation ago West Virginia and Arkansas could not elect a Republican to statewide office. Now the reverse is true. The bottom line is, "bellweather" is an outdated construct.

Your issue is with the state of California, not Trump.

So many people forget that issue. There was and still is only so much that the president can do. States are governed themselves. Trump and his administration could not overreach. Newsome hates Trump and took into account who was president when his decision was made no matter the loss. Same can be said for multiple governors that made decisions during Covid to boost death toll. Look no further than Michigan, Pennsylvania and New York. Fear governed us for almost two years. Too many news outlets with death and case number meters at the bottom of the screen pushed the fear. Vote by mail needed to be pushed no matter what. They wanted Trump out and people are to dumb to see it.

You think that those states are becoming "friendlier" to Democrats? If that was true, why does their state body not represent that? Why do they continue to elect Republican representatives to their state houses in an overwhelming majority?

I don't believe we will have a legitimate voting count regardless of who runs. The next resident in chief may well be Obama's well hung spouse.

No, that ain’t it at all. Here’s what is happening in those states - Republicans and other assorted rightist voters have been acting like little children and fighting amongst themselves, resulting in surprising instances of severe lack of cohesion in terms of getting everyone on the same page and getting out the vote in some of the most crucial areas. Reason being, this or that group is outraged at the other group, and/or every last one of muh principles wasn’t checked off for some candidate or another. I do think eventually they’ll figure out that it’s literally impossible to have all your own boxes checked, when you stop and consider “oh shucks, I wasn’t thinking about 10 million other people like or similar to me who also each have their own boxes to check on a list of personal principles. Even if everybody has like 5 main boxes to check off, and our lists of principles are distinct and “tailored” to each of us….by golly that’s like 50 million distinct boxes that a single candidate needs to check off!” Even just half, to be crazy conservative with it……still 25 million distinct principles to satisfy!!

So yeah it’s just not possible. All of us will have to understand there will be areas where the overall best candidate will differ with us and we’ll have to realize the situation and deal with it.

It’s such a foreign concept that no one will even pay this request for consideration any mind. In which case those states you listed will again go to Democrats, but again not because they’re coming on strong but rather due to ignorance of Republicans and other rightists.

Be careful how you respond to Daniel (Texag7). If you post something that hurts his feelings he will try and hire an attorney and sue you…..
