I find it sad. When we start losing pride in our country internationally, we fall apart as a nation.
I couldn’t imagine cheering against the US for literally anything. But we are here now when it’s commonplace for people to do so

They, every other sports broadcaster, professional team, and all of the media companies and corporations who went woke looooooooove to say "Oh, it's just the way the internet has changed our society and the habits of Americans. It's not politics."

I can assure you it killed the viewing in my household. My wife (no pics, think Audrey Hepburn) is usually glued to Olympics coverage. Wanted nothing to do with it this year.

Didn’t watch any of the Olympics this year and I used to love it. I did enjoy reading about Gwen Berry and the soccer players all losing though! frick these preening liberal athletes who hate the country.

If you see a company providing an endorsement to any athlete who publicly dishonored the country, the flag, the anthem to make a political statement, don't buy that company's product or any service they are associated with. Hold companies accountable for their ridiculous virtue signaling. You do have a voice here, all of us do, we need to use it.

I used to enjoy sports in general, but it has become hard to watch. The woke stuff is bad enough, but also the commercials have gotten too long and frequent, and too woke as well. People do not want to sit there and watch that shite all day.

If there is a single soldier out there who is anti-American trash, then he's not a soldier, he's a spy, and I am most certainly rooting against that person. No one who hates this country is going to fight for it. Your comment is one of the most ignorant I have ever seen.
I COULDN'T have imagined rooting against anything to do with America, before, until athletes started deciding they were anti-American.
Do you know what it means to be a patriot, my friend? It means to love your country and to make sacrifices for it, when necessary. It doesn't mean that you pull for people who hate your country. Why do we pull for team USA? Because they represent us. When those athletes stop representing this country and instead choose to represent themselves and an anti-American agenda, why should we pull for them? When a soldier turns their back on their country they are called a traitor. The same applies to anyone else.
Maybe think about these things before you attempt to virtue signal again.

Our pink-haired soccer lesbian would be executed or jailed for being socially "different" in about 1/3rd of the world's countries. Instead in the US, we celebrate her "differences" as distinctive individuality while she takes a knee in disrespect to that celebration. NBC loses some money in the process. It's all a show ... posing.
In real life, Bowe Bergdahl decides to figuratively "take a knee" during military action. He gets captured. He then learns over the next five years that maybe the US wasn't so bad after all. Unfortunately, the cost is much higher than a woke network losing money. It isn't a show or posing.
A half-dozen or more soldiers who lost their lives attempting to save Bergdahl, got caught up in his lesson. It's no game, and the vast vast majority of those real life combatants literally bleed patriotism! That is the difference.
You have the unmitigated gall to draw comparison between that force and a women's game team whose egocentric members (all but one) openly disrespect the very country which has given them so much, and for whom those soldiers are willing to sacrifice their own lives defending?
I'll say this: if Pink Hair & Co are so down on the US, they could benefit from a few days of Bergdahl-style re-education in the hands of less American company.
