I believe you only have to serve 85% of the sentence with good behavior. I could be wrong.

Moral issues and Legal issues, two separate things here. While on the short list of Least Compassionate Human , his actual crimes lack victims . That’s my issue . Because that prosecutorial slippery slope is basically a prison sentence in search of a grand jury for about 90% of Americans.

He was running a ponzi scheme in which he was paying off investors he'd defrauded with the money from new investors. These things inevitably go bust, of course. It the feds had busted Bernie Madoff in 2006 before his investors got bilked would you object?

Certainly you understand the point. The guilt has been established. I am referring to sentencing. And the need to balance injury and sentence . The sentence far exceeds the gravity of the injury sustained. The “ injury” sustained is wealth gain . If this was anybody but a tremendous douche canoe blow hard, it would be time served .

Haha, yep. He had to be placed under gag order for trying to make a mockery of the court. Federal judges will throw the book at you if you disrespect the court.

Not exactly accurate, because all of his investors got their money back, plus profits.
