As a law student, I don’t get to contribute to the spread at Thanksgiving or Easter, but thankfully, that nightmare will soon be over.
My specialty entrees are:
Chicken & Sausage Gumbo
Pork & Sausage Jambalaya
BBQ pulled pork
Matzo Ball Soup
My specialty sides are:
Cornbread (I need to find my recipe for the crawfish stuffed version)
Honey Masala squash/zucchini
Coonass melt sliders (cajun turkey, pepperjack cheese, hogs head cheese, honey mustard, & sweet relish melted, toasted, pressed, and sealed into little finger sandwiches of insane goodness)
Signature Dessert:
Cherry & Apple cobbler

By far, my most favorite item to eat on thanksgiving, or Christmas, is fried turkey.
But my specialty I cook is crawfish and andouille cornbread dressing.

Hey everyone
I'm digging that this thread is near the top still.
I needed a change of mentality

I don’t really care for Turkey all that much so we have prime rib with all the normal Thanksgiving sides.

I am most thankful for my wife.
This morning I asked her who she was most thankful for.
She said:
So, I'm cooking the dog's favorite food. Beef Stew with cornbread

I tried to cheat....whatever you do don't get the premade deli southern cornbread stuffing from publix, it is the nastiest stuff I have ever tasted.

You cook for your dog? I guess that saves money from all the fake supposed REAL dogfood.

Smoked turkey breasts, injected with creole butter and rubbed up with my own mix. Got four on the smoker and a bird in the oven.

Asparagus casserole and the best cornbread dressing ever.

Don't you? I just stiffened a large chuck roast in the freezer to trim off the fat before marinating. The dogs get the fat. Then they get leftovers tomorrow.
Their diet is about 50-50 dog food and people food. The caution with dog food is to buy Grain Free. High grain content makes their skin itchy.

Looks like I'm going to make deviled pickled eggs this afternoon, too. Never tried it with the pickled eggs before, we will see how it turns out. Going to add a little bit more red pepper and a dab of honey to balance out the vinegar.

My stupid atheist cousin came this year so we had to make a tofu turkey. Can't believe he ruined a Christian holiday with his atheism bs
