I’d like to see priests able to get married and have children, just like the ancient priests of Israel and Judah and even rabbis today.

I’m not against gays as consenting adults and such, but I don’t think they should allow homosexual priests (I’m convinced about three quarters of them are homos) because it’s clearly obvious in the Bible that homosexual behavior is a sin and also a punishment for sin. Why have a scripture of “Truth” if they aren’t going to abide by it.

The new Pope needs to take a hardline stance against pedos and turn them into the police rather than sweeping crimes under the rug.

ETA: I think the reasoning for allowing homo priests is because they wouldn’t have enough priests without them, but if they let regular guys become priests who want to bone chicks and raise a family, then they wouldn’t need the homo priests to fill the gaps.

Nope, I'm correct. There is literally no evidence of Jesus founding the Catholic Church, or of any of the Disciples being the first Pope. It's all a lie. If anything, a worldwide church flies directly in opposition to the message given to us by God through the Bible. The Catholic Church is the perfect vessel for the antichrist.

Get over it.

This would be a great move. There is clearly no Biblical support for this practice and, as you point out, it has led to some truly terrible things being swept under the rug.

The Catholic Church is not based on Jesus. It’s not the actual church. A conservative pope? lol. That statement alone should open eyes and ears to how ridiculous Catholicism is.

There’s no biblical support for half the whacky stuff they’ve made up over the years.

I began a statement with "I think..." and you replied "don't hurt yourself." Was that supposed to be a compliment? What went over my head?

AND WHY IN THE HELL ARE WE OFF TOPIC? WHAT'S WRONG WITH DISCUSSING THE SUBJECT AT HAND? If you don't have anything substantive to add, just move on.

I think it's pretty much a fact that you won't see another non-Italian, or a Jesuit for that matter, in the new Pope. The Italians have been shut out for too long. I wouldn't discount an Austrian or Swiss either.

I guess you could say Peter technically did, but its all about Jesus. Everything is modeled after things he instituted (sacraments, the Eucharist, etc.).

You will never be able to connect this apostate Pope's open borders nonsense to the teachings of Jesus.

Do you honestly believe Jesus would be in favor of deportations?

Modern day conservative Christians in the USA follow His guidance on charity closer than any other groups in the world today.

There is nothing charitable about the modern day conservative. Just look at the language used by the conservatives who post on this board!

I'm Catholic, but I'm not shedding a tear for him. That doesn't mean I am happy he died. He will always be known as the "Woke Pope". He did us no favors. He picked and chose only lefty issues to take a stand on, especially immigration.. I never heard him call out the left on their abortion stance.

Yep.
