I think you're very confuse
i am in no way confused and not talking about the percentage of taxes paid vs the national income or tax revenue.
quote:
The top 1 percent of taxpayers paid a 25.4 percent average individual income tax rate, which is more than seven times higher than taxpayers in the bottom 50 percent (3.4 percent).
So what are you arguing about?

But if you’re at the very top, it’s time to pay your fair share.
I’ll never be in the 1% but this infuriated me more than anything.

Not that I don’t see the injustice in the top 1% paying as much taxes as it does, but does it not bother any of you that the wealth distribution is getting worse? There’s more economic inequality every year, and no one seems to give a shite.

It bothers me to some degree, but not to the point where I would punish those that are creating and inventing things that make a fortune.
Tell people to stop buying stuff from places like Amazon and Wal-Mart and start spending money locally.

So what is your solution to this problem? Let's hear it.

It should bother you more than just to some degree. The way it’s heading we’re looking at a massive upheaval from the working class, and soon. The poor can’t keep getting poorer and the rich can’t keep getting richer. It’s not sustainable.

It needs to be addressed. I don’t pretend to know the answer, but it’s not sustainable the way it’s going. That’s not even up for debate.

I don’t pretend to know the answer,
i already told you the answer. stop consolidating your purchasing power to a few entities. come up with logical competitive businesses to combat these large conglomerates.
its the populace's job to change course, not the governments. and it can be done.

We need to reward work in this country — not just wealth.
How do we reward wealth in this country? A Salary, aka wealth? Is there another way to reward hard work, that doesn’t include wealth?

I guess it does help redistribute wealth though.
yah, from your pocket to theirs.
I believe the $400K cut off is per household and not per individual. So not as great as it sounds if you and your spouse earn a combined $400K per year.
