Oh ok. I Didn’t know that the crumbling bridges around the country have all been fixed and we don’t need to invest in our infrastructure because these tracks are new.

You don't know shite. Conservatives aren't against higher taxes - when used wisely. Only an idiot thinks all things in this world should be free. I guarantee you if a "concrete" plan was put forth showing infrastructure money was being spent wisely without any waste, you'd see conservatives jump on board quicker than liberals would.

saying the infrastructure is fine.
No one has said or even implied that moron. The point is trump’s tweet was imbecilic at best. Right out of the gate, his first tweet was a political one blaming the accident on infrastructure. He happened to be wrong on this one. That doesn’t mean the left does not support infrastructure.

feeble leftist mind not realizing spending can be cut elsewhere

I get a kick out of people assuming that someone who challenges something is automatically on the other side. It's not just you; it's like 80% of this board. I totally understand why you're infatuated with President Trump; he speaks what enters your mind.

But, that's the problem...

Listen to yourself. Trump is the one who used the train accident to refresh the infrastructure discussion. Yet THE TRAIN WAS ON NEW INFRUSTRUCTURE.

It’s not a deflection at all. It directly addressed the premise of the OP. And it certainly was not spin. If anyone is spinning, it’s the OP making this into a narrative that it is not. But the sheep here will follow. So kudos to him.

Nice melt but why can’t we cut spending else where to pay for something much needed like infrastructure?

So something that has always been a democratic issue, you will #resist now that Trump wants it?

Such a cute little Prog taking orders...

You mean like when you chastised the op saying "conservatives are against higher taxes".

Spare me your sanctimonious patronization. You seem very impressed with yourself.

But, that's the problem...

If Donald Trump could have it, he and the 1%ers wouldn't pay a single tax dollar. I assure you that he'd abolish the IRS without anything to replace it.

He is interested in money...power. It's no secret. All else is secondary.

Cool.

Still not sure why you are melting over it. His point is valid. We need to invest in our infrastructure. And before you even attempt, I am fully on record supporting any infrastructure spending Obama proposed also because I know how truly important it is.

Because nobody in Washington is actually interested in cutting spending.

Infrastructure spending is the cornerstone of liberal macro-economics. I missed when that changed. Oh yeah, when they all went more insane last Nov.

Couldn't keep the inner leftist inside even one post after chastising me for calling you a leftist.

Beautiful.

You missed the point completely. The next time there is a thread on the OT about a drunk driver killing a family of four on a four lane interstate, please make your first post about and only about the need for better roads. It won’t carry the same weight because you are not president of the United States and it won’t be seen by millions and millions of people. But that might help you get the point.

It was to be implemented next year, I believe.
