He is either a coward or incapacitated. Either way, we have a right to know. You can't just quit being POTUS with a tweet.

Doc says he's completely healthy and working hard. But I guess he's not quite ready to come out and play.

You just answered your own question. There are a lot of people that are still not sold on the idea that she is the correct candidate. It would be much more difficult to jettison her as the candidate if she is president. Plus it would be an ugly look for the Democrat party to depose of two sitting presidents in the span of weeks.

Lol.

The Harris selection is done.

Biden got to select all but 7 of the delegates for the Democratic convention. Those delegates determine who the nominee will be. Biden (or if you think it's a conspiracy, the conspirators) told Biden's delegates to support Harris.

Harris is the pick. That's already over. If it were a conspiracy to select someone else, they'd have had to either have the "fake biden" texts endorse nobody or someone other than Harris.

The conspiracy talk makes no sense because if there WAS a conspiracy, they'd have to act very differently from what's happening.

If the conspiracy was for Harris and Biden died... they'd want to announce it ASAP.

If the conspiracy was for someone other than Harris or even just hesitant about Harris and Biden died... they'd not have the fake Biden endorse Harris.

It just doesn't work.

Biden might be sick. Not sick enough to require the VP step in, but he could very well be pretty unwell. But that's about the biggest thing this could be.

He didn't quit being POTUS. He simply isn't running for re-election.

When LBJ stopped running for re-election he still served out his term. He was in poor health as well.

the official story that is out there is the ironically the perfect story to buy some time if something more serious has happened

campaign stop in Vegas dropped due to Covid
so he would be semi-quarantined to prevent spreading the virus
fly home to DE and post up in your home away from public view
his DE home has a mini-hospital room set up in it
release info through the press office - he got his 10th Paxlovid treatment this morning
drop out of the race via a Word document posted to twitter

it all makes perfect sense to me

Buy some time for what?

I still don't see the purpose. The net result here is everything for the 2024 election is quickly cementing behind Harris. If that's the end result, what are they buying time for? Biden dying would have made it even easier for Harris.

For a conspiracy to happen, there has to be some goal or purpose. There doesn't seem to be one here.

This is just dumb.

It would be much better for the Democrats if Biden passed away to hand it over to another candidate than for him to step down.

They'd have no reason to cover up his death. Why have a conspiracy for no reason?

Lack of trust. The same people who just sacked him have spent the last few years saying he was "the strongest Joe Biden ever"- when he was in an obvious cognitive free-fall.

Now he ends his campaign under dubious circumstances- a post on X that no one believes he personally made.

I don't believe he's deceased, presently- but being the President, calls for proof of his relative well being isn't out of line....

agreed

if he was incapacitated or dead that is an angle that the DNC would capitalize on immediately

first female POTUS, move on from feeble Joe, a nation mourns, big state funeral for a dedicated civil servant etc etc

Just send an ice cream truck, driven by your average Democrat... i.e. groomer, to go by his house in Delaware.

He'll try and chase it and then we'll know. Nevermind that he won't make it far or if he tries to chase it on his bicycle it may end up being the cause of death... all that matters is he'll poke his head up, albeit briefly.

No summons from Congress, application of any amendment, request from allies, or military CoC can do what an ice cream truck can.

LBJ never ran. He never campaigned. The first primary he won votes, but as a write-in candidate and then a couple weeks later he made it official that he wasn't running.

Biden ran. He's got all the delegates.

He should. He should have long ago. He's been incapacitated for a long time.

Fair enough. But he still needs to publicly announce that he has halted his campaign. If he isn't up to even doing that, he can't finish his term.

you mean when he got on TV and clearly and unequivocally stated that he would not be seeking reelection so that the entire country could see him clear as day?

LBJ was a piece of shite and the worst president of the 20th century, but at least he did that right.

Biden tweeted. or someone tweeted.

It isn’t. She only has about half the delegates she needs. The democrats do not have a candidate currently.

They got rid of Biden because he was polling so poorly and they didn’t believe that he could defeat Trump.

The problem is that polling, include a whole batch of fresh polling today, shows that Harris is polling worse than Biden. And not just overall, but in key swing states.

No, Kamala is not a done deal.

Wouldn't it be something if xiden* went for a walk at 2 AM by himself because he couldn't sleep and hitched a ride with a semi truck.

And now he is riding shotgun after helping pick up a load of washing machines in Omaha to be dropped off soon in Denver.

SS has no clue where to look for him, they are still searching the Delaware beaches.

It has been explained to you. There are some very influential Democrats that DO NOT want Kamala Harris as the Democrat candidate for president. For example, one of their mega donors has stated he will not donate another penny if Kamala is the candidate.

There is a LOT of back and forth going on right now as to who their candidate will be. They still have the option of going with someone other than Kamala. If Kamala is sworn in as president, it makes it much less likely if not impossible that anyone other than her will be the Democrat candidate.

Another reason they don’t want her to be president is she is a horrible speaker. She routinely makes idiotic statements that end up as sound bites, memes and gifs ridiculing her. If she becomes president it will be a lot harder to hide her away. She will be front and center and the chance she makes some huge gaffes increases exponentially.

I am not saying that is what is happening. But they absolutely have reasons they wouldn’t want Kamala to be sworn in as president.

What if Bidens handlers havent told her? Or anyone.

Do you not see why that would be a problem.
