Any néw administration would extend an olive branch to Russia. That’s just what you do. Try to bring peace, and give it a shot. Now they know that is not going to work, and Putin is blowing them off. Now things get dicey, the gloves could come off. If they do I’d expect Trump to give Ukraine everything they need short of a Nuke.

Do you think Zelensky was elected in 2014 or something?

What? We don’t run the World. You do not understand this part of the World. Frick Zelensky and the EU. They get what they deserve. They wanted this War and they Got It.

Imo, you're absolutely right but Trump was just too optimistic with this one unfortunately. Imo also, it's not a terrible mistake either. He's a good man, he just wants it to end like the rest of us do.

Both sides are turds, master mind.

Mexico were to invade Texas, then yes, I'd fight.
Imagine that happening and a leader from another country pressuring us to turn over land to Mexico to “stop the blood shed” while putting no pressure on Mexico whatsoever.
frick that, fight the invaders.

He needed to go through the process.

Do you seriously think anyone who would replace Putin would be better?? Because they won’t be

One thing to remember is that the United States is 100% responsible for this war or a large portion of it. We have been talking about expanding NATO for years and when the conflict continued under Biden, we proceeded to give them our weapons to Ukraine so why would Putin trust the United States?
Why would he trust Trump when he told Tucker Carlson it doesn’t matter what the president says it’s what the government actually does behind the scenes

Russia is responsible for this war. Don't be silly.

How the CIA and Ukrainian intelligence secretly forged a deep partnership….
….since 2014 the CIA and Ukraine's intelligence services secretly forged a deep partnership, transforming them from former Cold War enemies into one of the U.S. agency's most trusted partners.
Yet the CIA Apologists on this board have lectured us repeatedly that this is ancient history and has no bearing on the current circumstances in the Ukraine.
These are useful tools who repeatedly ignore or even excuse the very transgressions that they condemn in Putin.
They themselves are indeed regurgitating the most loathsome of Deep State propaganda:

It's not our war. We can't afford it and it Ukraine is not our ally. If Russia tries to invade or form an alliance with Canada or Mexico, that's different. The nuclear superpowers have their own spheres of influence and respecting those neighborhoods have helped the world avoid disaster for a long time. So don't be silly and screw that up.

I have some bad news for you…
Juan and Hector are coming here to roof houses, pick crops, and cut grass, then send the wages back home. While I'm not in favor of illegal immigration, that's still different than the Mexican government shelling San Antonio to the ground with artillery.

Agreed. I just don't get the silly idea of absolving the actual invaders. The idea that Russia shouldn't be blamed for the invasion is a perverse level of thinking.

Looks like Russia is still untrustable...
They never wanted peace,
They always wanted to free Donbas region and want Ukraine to stop shelling Donbas. Now that the west ignored him, they basically gave him the excuse he needed to take it. Now that so many lives have been sacrificed he is not leaving empty handed.
Ukraine could have had a peace deal but rejected it. So now Z continues to have the war he asked for.

I've never wasted much time pondering blame for wars. Each side blames the other, and outside observers blame the one they fear most, or covet most. The provenance of a war is one of the most elusive and subjective topics of history and decisive claims on the subject aren't worth the reading.
