Our troops low cost training exercise experience while preventing further atrocities to a civilian population.

So what's the point?
Pissing off Russia?
Letting ISIS gain power?
Testing out new toys?
Mass killing of the defenseless is unacceptable.
Failure to comply with UN resolutions is unacceptable.
You do this today and you won't continue to have these issues.

He was already wrong in his previous tweet. The President cannot declare war without congressional consent. War has not been declared. Military action like this has been taken without congressional consent for years. Congress can vote to defund action but the President does not need their permission to do something like this.

You're a ped doc, and you don't see the value in stopping use of chemical weapons on civilians?

So do you support eliminating the CIA and ceasing our undeclared drone wars immediately? Both either currently involve or have involved the mass killing of innocent civilians.

An interventionist foreign policy is fundamentally at odds with a constitutional republic and the concept of limited government.
I understand picking our fights... but you've seen what happens when the US doesn't show strength and tries to place nice with our enemies. The past 8 years under Obama and you cannot tell me for a second that we're better off for it. Look who has filled the void when we back off... Russia, Iran, ISIS, China, etc
I can agree with libertarians on a lot of things, but foreign policy isn't one of them.

What happens if there is another chemical attack? Do we invade at that point?
Don't play the "think about the children" card with me.
Perspective: this prolongs the war and results in more dead children.
But congrats on your victory today.

To project strength to the Russians.

I don't see much of a difference between Obama and Bush. I didn't see a difference between he and Clinton.
Libertarians see both parties as interventionists. There might be differing justifications for said interventions, but at their core, each party wants the United States to play an active role in the world militarily.
Our philosophy is perfectly summed up in this quote by former Congressman Howard Buffett, the father of Warren:
"Even if it were desirable, America is not strong enough to police the world by military force. If that attempt is made, the blessings of liberty will be replaced by coercion and tyranny at home. Our Christian ideals cannot be exported to other lands by dollars and guns. Persuasion and example are the methods taught by the Carpenter of Nazareth, and if we believe in Christianity we should try to advance our ideals by his methods. We cannot practice might and force abroad and retain freedom at home. We cannot talk world cooperation and practice power politics."
